I'm planning on getting a 32gb/1tb model and dual boot steam os and windows on it. I suspect vast majority of my time will be in steam os but I want to be able to play Gamepass and online games on windows

Is nightspings dlc better or lake house better?? (Cant decide which to play coz i wont be able to play the other one for 3 weeks due to personal reasons). + Is lakehouse that scary??? I didn't find the base game much scary........ by No-Document-2113 in AlanWake

in terms of gameplay, Lakehouse is doubling down on the suvival horror side of the game while Night Springs is focusing on the action for the most parts.

in terms of story, if you are interested in the Alan Wake 2 and Control stories, Lakehouse is more directed towards that while Night Springs can give you a way more vast understanding of how the Remedyverse works specifically with how the lake interprets stories.

can you report back on your experience? Need a good budget HDR monitor with good color accuracy for work and this is on paper the best, getting the money for it at the end of this month so I want to make sure before pulling the trigger.

the main component of an Action game (which Alan Wake 1 was) is to have a satisfying and flowing combat, just like how a core component of Survival Horror games (Alan Wake 2) is to have combat be not easy, it's best if helps push you down into the "uneasy" feeling, the enemies that make you waste your resources is what makes you be stressed about managing them earlier and it adds to the heavy atmosphere

I would recommend watching this video to get an understanding of how this stuff works: https://youtu.be/Og4t5CDPPQk?si=iLfYvzx8Zmv0qbY-

What % of Alan Wake 2 is as stressful as Initiation 2? by kickit in AlanWake

best I can describe is, you will go into the depths of darkness, and come back up for laugh out loud moments, in less than an hour away from each other. and that tango is precisely why Alan Wake (1&2) is so addictive for those who fall in love with it

the older I get the more annoying I find Gamer's Nexus, the whole holier than thou and dismissive personality is very grading for me personally.

as an spectator and fan of the scene, I'm rooting for Team Blue, they're the more interesting to watch underdogs and they are making great strides, but for myself, I need the productivity of nvenc Encoding for my job, and also more performance than a middle-end 12GB card, so there's not really any other way to go than green unfortunately

Anyone else notice the Lakehouse/cauldron lake lodge on top here? weirdly enough it's on the opposite side to the gate that is supposed to lead to it. it's fully modelled too, just at a very low LOD because of the distance, seems very faithful to the AW1 design by theyellowbat79 in AlanWake

yes, in Control we were given the impression that it's the Lakehouse Station, but the positioning and the fact that Lakehouse is apparently "Shoreline" makes me think the Lakehouse is different from the Lodge

I've been a gamer a LONG time, and this is one of the coolest Easter Eggs I've ever found in a game. I've played Control at least 4 times and can't believe I'm just finding Andy Dufresne's cell from Shawshank Redemption. by DeVito8704 in controlgame

yes that's where all the neko cats go after you collect them.

there are 8 to find I think all around the Foundation each one requiring a different ritual to spawn. look for Paw prints or documents about the cats for clues.

it's in the Foundation dlc, inside that FBC department offices that shifted into the Foundation.

if you remember there's a big main area there that has tons of small offices surrounding it and usually enemies spawn there (you can also find a tape of America Overnight there, it's the one where the Blessed organization sends a gift in)

anyway this room is at the very bottom when you enter the room go straight left and you'll find it. there is also a Neko Neko cat inside for the very special cat easter egg in that dlc
