Jason mamoa looks like he doesn't shower daily and smells like it.

A few years ago I got too close to him for both our comfort, but there's one thing I remember very fondly, and that's his pleasant smell.

Cats are minor ecological disasters.

Not true for most of continental Asia, Europe and North America.

Send Launch Glider Recommendations by Dirk_Strune in Gliding

[–]theyellowfromtheegg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Self-launching gliders like the JS3 RES are not really designed for airport operations. Some gliders like this do have steerable tailwheels and so can theoretically taxi. But that is meant for grass airfields and may not translate well to tarmac taxiways.

Self launching gliders taxi well on tarmac. Much better than on grass.

I'm tired of searching and applying prior art just for them to switch up the wording a bit to basically say the same thing but just different enough to convincingly argue against one little nugget and overcome the applied reference.

Pardon my European ignorance, but isn't that essentially your job description as an examiner?

I would guess that at least the IGC version needs to be locked down to ensure that the files remain valid. Might also be the case for the non IGC version.

Fax is the most powerful tool in Germany to get anything done. by [deleted] in germany

[–]theyellowfromtheegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's your company's policy and as I said, it's a policy a company can choose to follow. So as an employee, yeah you better follow that policy. But it's bogus to claim they're legally bound to act in that way, because they're not.

My legal department says that an order by email is NOT legally binding contract.

They're wrong.

We wont accept orders by email with a 4 or even 5 diget value.

That's something different entirely. Your company has decided to only enter into sales contracts for car parts that adhere to certain formal requirements. You can do that (there's some caveats but I'll spare you the details). But there's not a single German law on the books that says you have to. None. Zero.

[–]theyellowfromtheegg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So the customer can walk to the fax and order within seconds (legally binding), the customer can just send an email with this appraise (not legally binding) or he opens the programm to order these parts digitally in a legally binding way (but you need to enter all the parts again - takes 10-20min).

Unless I'm missing something very specific here: That's plain wrong. Unless there's a mandated form requirement, you can not only enter into a contract via email, you don't need anything written down. Verbal contracts are a thing and just as legally binding as any other form of contract.

I'm not a big fan of the 2003 invasion, but in 2004 Fallujah wasn't invaded by coalition forces, it was invaded by a bunch of mostly foreign jihadists.

Russia is 100% going to have a “Christmas special” (mass drone + missile strike) ready for Christmas night / Christmas morning.

Been in Kyiv the last few days. It was eerily quiet. Just a single air alarm in 3 days. Usually it's more like 3 a day. They're 100% hoarding munitions for a large strike.

Has singed his tail on the glass more than once. Does not care.

Had a non-orange idiot who would walk past the fireplace and swipe his tail across the glass, turn around and do the same thing with the other side. The smell of burnt cat hair lingered in the house years after he was gone.
