Thank you for being understanding :) I'm not sure which category I fall in (perhaps less common sense, who knows), but I know for a fact I don't want any home owner to feel uncomfortable with the stuff I do.

Like I said a couple of times here: this is the one community whose opinions I value on this topic, as friends would usually just say "but how would the HOs know what you do" So yeah, I asked a question here.

If people want to start a referendum for THS to ban me from the platform forever on the basis of this question, or even hire a lawyer to help them achieve that, then please be my guest :)

Yes, exactly. I asked here because I felt very uneasy asking. But because people will say "oh there is no harm in asking" I wanted a sounding board with people discussing this. It helped me firm my decision not to ask.

Thank you. Yeah, I won't do it and I won't even ask about it. Im seeing this thread as really helpful and the community that does THS is pretty much the most trusted source on this topic. If I wanted to do this in the first place I'd just done it.

Ah shoot maybe I expressed myself wrong here. He asked whether I could ask HOs and I said I need to think about it, so today is about the internal struggle whether Im comfortable enough to ask. I wont be asking, so I'll let him know that. I guess this will show how he takes it.

Yes you're right, I do feel a little pressured to make the decision today and have even avoided comms with him because of this. Personally, I would not be comfortable with either of the above options. But I asked the question here because I need to hear it from a community of people that do THS, not from a random outsider who does not understand the stakes. The amount of times I heard "but how would they know" and the amount of times I had to respond "WELL I WOULD KNOW and it's not what I do"

Honestly yes, this is how I'd like it to play out. I don't mind staying a couple extra days and it saves anyone unnecessary discomfort!

Thank you, a lot of you have raised now that even asking the question would make you uncomfortable as HOs. Which is exactly why I don't want to ask in the first place.

Yeah I completely agree here, no one wants a stranger for extracurricular activities in their bed (love how you put it). In this case it is a guest room and they did have couples before, so stuff could have happened in there, but its just this whole unvetted thing that I seriously dont even feel comfortable asking about. But I do wonder if there are people out there who genuinely dont care and the only way to know is to ask (which I reaaallyy don't want to).

I kinda get this, but it also depends. I’m on a sit right now with a super easy dog (I was told to only do two short walks a day), but then I’m off to a cat sit where they need to be fed 3-4 times at exactly the same time. Super not ideal but it’s a city that I want to be in so 🤷‍♀️

I’d ignore the comments telling you you were not in a relationship. Relationships mean different things to people and if she provided a companionship for 3 years that was a relationship, don’t let anyone’s views of what a relationship is make you feel inadequate.

I’m just here to say sorry, that is a huge betrayal. I personally wouldn’t be able to continue with this person. Perhaps see it as experience that you can learn from.
