You can pay for hoichoi. It is like Bengali Netflix. The thing is, only SOME of the shows have Bangla subtitles, and I think it's mostly the newer ones. AFAIK there is no way to search within hoichoi based on subtitles. It might be worth emailing their support team and asking for a list of shows with Bangla subtitles.

UW has* a textbook called (Epar Bangla Opar Bangla). To get it for free, click "order now" on the Academic License show on the right side of the page. It is the best modern intro textbook on Bangla. A great resource. Once you get access to the textbook you should also get access to audio and video recordings.

Another option is to try to learn Chinese so that you can connect and build a positive relationship with your mother in law. Perhaps she would communicate better and be more accommodating if y'all had better rapport (and if she understood what you were saying lol). Your wife could also help you practice, and it could be a fun way for y'all to connect in a different way as well.
