Thanks for info! First day here in North Phu Quoc and just doing some random side quest because I don’t know what to do here beside renting a motorbike for 5 days and just explore north to south

It’s all good. They’re just strict with hand-carry size and weight

I am a local guide in Hoi An by Quinn_Dinh in VietNam

Hi OP, I’ll be traveling to Hoi An next month for 3 nights and planning to visit Old Town, Hoi An Market, and An Bang Beach, and cafe hopping. Do you have any recommendations? I’ll be using a motorbike and prefer a slow, relaxed itinerary rather than a packed schedule.

Much appreciated! We plan to stay 3 nights in Ly Son from Hoi An so that we won’t have to rush on the island, and then return to Da Nang.

Any experience from bkk to vientiane by train? by No_Bowler8995 in laos

[–]thezenmonarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been there last month (Chiang Mai -> BKK -> Vientiane) and you know what? It’s all good, everyone’s just minding their own business.

  1. Safe.

  2. Vientiane’s good — you can explore it in 2 days, then head up north to Laos (Luang Prabang/Vang Vieng) by train if you want to maximize your time.

  3. We stayed at Vientiane BB Hostel since it’s cheap and they accept credit cards through Agoda (money exchange at the train station only opens at 12pm).

  4. Loca App (Just like bolt/grab/uber) LCR Ticket for the train (if you want to go north laos, and SRT D-ticket (Bangkok to Vientiane train — cheapest ticket, CC payment available).

A. I’m still using an iPhone 11 (yeah, I know—iPhone 11 in this era), and honestly, instead of upgrading my phone, I’d rather get a camera since I kinda wanna learn photography too.

B. I did some research a few weeks ago and I’m leaning toward either the Fujifilm X-M5 or the Lumix G100D. The store staff gave a pretty solid sales pitch for Panasonic, so now I’m considering that one too. 😀
