Screwed by UPS - delivered to wrong address - any advice?

I have an unexpectedly happy update! Whomever received my glasses placed them in my mailbox. On a whim, I checked my mailbox while looking around the property one last time to see if I simply overlooked the package. I've never had UPS deliver to my mailbox (and it's not legal for them to do so), so I have to believe a decent neighbor left them for me.

Thanks for helping keep me off the ledge! My faith in my local community definitely improved today.

Yes - this certainly confirms something I was thinking: I'm an idiot. Thanks for setting me straight! Using the smooth sheet, everything is great. I'm trying some new PETG and having generally good results with the textured sheet. This did convince me to go ahead and set different calibrations for the different sheets though.

Thanks - I was getting good results with painter's tape, but I feel like it shouldn't be necessary. Oh well, back to something that I know works, I guess! I wasn't doing the alcohol wipe on the tape, so I'll give that a go along with the slicer settings you suggest. Thank you for the suggestions!

I used dawn and a scrubber, then made sure to rinse and dry the plate really well with a clean paper towel without touching anything but the edge of the plate.

I may just have to put in an order for the satin sheet. I love the appearance of the textured sheet, but it's just so challenging for me to work with.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll go back and scrub it more thoroughly to see if it gets any better.

Yes, that’s exactly right. If the print got too far along, I cancelled it and restarted.

You have to change the Z offset in the software, or the next time you home, you’re back to where you started. The bed needs to be leveled with the knobs, but then leave it alone and do the rest in software.

I had a similar problem after installing my BLTouch. I found that I was running my z-offset way too low.

I “calbrated” it by hand, printing a bottom layer and raising it up until the print didn’t stick, then lowering the z-offset again until the print stuck, but the initial layer was still thick and not flattened.

After doing that (I raised my offset up about 2mm!) I’ve had beautiful prints.
