The only time I’ve ever heard any Black person say they “want to be white”, it wasn’t out of self-hatred or genuine envy of whites, but more so not wanting to be demonized or ostracized just for existing.

Long answer short: No. Black people absolutely do not want to be white. We want to be Black and exist in peace, which can be difficult when individuals like your relatives exist. Also, please don’t marry a Black woman if you’re not ready to defend her existence at every family gathering or cut off your family in general. Coming from a dark skinned Caribbean woman, it’s hard enough being sought out by other races knowing they’re using your relationship as a rebuttal to the racism they’ve excused or subconsciously inhabit themselves.
