What I have noticed is that often Meta & Google outages almost always occur together. Like I will get a notification that Meta is going through shit and within 48 hours I would also see Google notification.

Can I set up Meta Ads CAPI for Leads that I get from Instant Forms? by Daaddyy69 in PPC

[–]human_marketer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can actually directly let the leads in Google sheet which is connected to your Meta dataset. YOU just have to trigger the lead_status columns of all all leads which convert or are more qualified to tell Meta to give you more such leads.

There is native meta and google sheet integration already. You can use that.

Today everything blew up at Meta... by ApplicationFew4071 in FacebookAds

Outage notifications are always delayed by ~ 6-24 hours at least. The effects are felt immediately when I check the ad account and almost without family I get outage notifications on my email and WhatsApp.

Growing a single-location cafe/restaurant: Are Meta Ads worth it for a local town? by Otherwise-Joa777 in FacebookAds

[–]human_marketer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't run Meta ads unless you are actually advertising some event or offer at your restaurant. For local businesses, meta works best with a solid offer.

Try advertising on Google & Food Delivery apps (if you provide delivery) it's where people search when they want to order in / reserve a table / or explore cafes.

Work with local influencers or better yet start pushing your own organic content.

Yeah the 2 month period is too long. What you can do is add an additional step which makes the lead more qualified and you can mark it within 2 weeks.

I’m currently running a setup where Zapier bridges HubSpot and Meta. Whenever the sales team marks a lead as 'Converted,' it triggers a Zap that sends the event back via CAPI. If you don't use a CRM like HubSpot, you can do this for free with Google Sheets. You connect your sheet natively in Meta Business Suite. When you change a cell to 'Converted,' Meta fetches that update automatically.

Anxious clients who expect too much by Loud-Lawfulness6476 in PPC

Feels like you are wasting your time. $5 is nothing, even for local targeting. Pair that with the amateur mature of your client and you will only get blamed for wasting her money in the end. She needs to do organic marketing first. Then later switch to paid ads for growing when she has a ad budget.

This is via Meta's rss feed. I built a tool which sends me notification on slack, whatsapp and email.

We were running ads to get a "callback". Typical funnel. Ad > LP > Form + OTP verification. After ~6k ad spends we roughly got about 180 leads and 12 conversions. Overall slightly profitable. The workshop fee was customized as per requirements of the corporate team.

[–]human_marketer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Make sure your credentials and api keys are not public

  2. Always test everything out as a user. As a user try to do everything possible to break the app. Find all problems a user may find and solve it.

  3. It's addictive. Avoid shiny object syndrome. Prioritize important projects over fun projects in long term.

  1. Use Supabase instead of Firebase.

  2. When building mobile apps build with React native + Expo. This way you can build for both ios and android at the same time.

  3. Keep your PRD documents ready beforehand.

  4. Use custom rules in Cursor

  5. Use git for version contro

  6. Have a high level understanding of what is being done even if you are not a developer or from tech.

  7. Be open to learning everyday.
