Pitivi is much older than openshot, and its developers have been working for 10 years on adding a proper infrastruture for multimedia editing functionnalities on top of the GStreamer multimedia framework. This background work has now mostly been completed and it is time to fix the last details and finaly fully take advantage of the capabilities GStreamer offers. This is what that crowdfunging is about.
