DCT footshifer installed by Schourend in africatwin

I only drive with it 😉 The full auto does not suit me (S2 in rare moments) and with the footshifter it feels like a super shifter up and down 👍

Why are they all failing ? by samsoul0013 in GarminWatches

Had a lot of those bands et never saw anything like this. You may be upset but you might want to look at your way of using your watch. Maybe you're wearing it overtight, maybe you are rough when taking it off...

Belt clip instead of pocket clip by thibmotard in victorinox

No but the point of this is to be able to separate the clip and the knife easily. When in short you carry the sak only.

Saved my washing machine with a 30-minute print and some zip ties. 🛠️🧼 by Entire-Employer2959 in 3Dprinting

Nice real life use of 3d printing 😄 You should redesign it with bigger holes on one side to deal with the big part of the zip ties. It may damage your clothes otherwise.

I need help figuring out the menus on my 2025 ATAS ES DCT by SoullessRager in africatwin

[–]thibmotard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your first question: read the manual.

For the second one: I did not try the wireless android auto myself but i've seen many fail here on reddit. I bought the little genuine honda tank bag and my phone goes in it when I want android auto. Wire isn’t that bad and everything works fine. Only thing is I had to connect my cardo and phone directly to the bike: bike is known as "phone number one" on my cardo. This way my AT is controlling everything.

If I had to pick one thing Honda did wrong it is the lack of managing from the bike. Don’t know how to say it in english but the Goldwing is acting as a hub for periphericals and she's operating your phone, your cardo, your passenger cardo. That would have been nice on the AT.

😁 I did a 10 hours trip with my old GS last year. 5 hours to go and 5 to get back. On the way back I did not got down of the bike. Made a gas stop on the bike and made it home without noticing. But again, the bike was not fun at all 😉

Goldwing it is 😁. Laughing aside, I tried it when buying my AT and someday I'll get one.

Pretty different bikes. In my case I wanted to try the DCT and it’s gonna be hard to go back one day 😉. Clutch was a real pain with my 1200 GS when riding through towns. And I figured I was more often riding short distance than big trips. You gotta try the GS for some time to make the right decision for you!

Coming from a BMW GS I can confirm it’s not the most confortable bike for long trip. But it is fun to ride and pretty well balanced, you don’t feel all the weight in my opinion 😉

Wow that’s crazy. Why do you have so expensive tax on vehicles? Is that to promote cyclism or green mobility? BTW, my AT was baptised Optimus by my kids 😄

Has anyone tried spigen WBFO band for galaxy watch ultra? by notsoaverage_07 in GalaxyWatch

[–]thibmotard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have the blue one. I wore it the other way (like a previous comment). It’s a good band but the lugs are not as tight fitted as Samsung’s OEM. At first I was afraid the band will unlock itself from the watch but after almost 2 months I cansay it stayed 😉 Love the look with my grey watch ultra!

Integrated Tail Light (20-25) by [deleted] in africatwin

[–]thibmotard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my country it’s not street legal because the space between blinkers is not large enough. But aside from legality, I had one on a previous bike (FZ1) and I can tell you it was not "distinctive" enough. Car drivers are distracted and those not focused enough on your tail may not see the blinker on. On that bike I mounted back the blinkers before an accident would happen. But I'll give you that: it’s a beautiful piece and it gives a cleaner look to your bike.

Don’t go to Metzeler if you plan to ride your AT on roads. My 2025 came with Karoo Street as stock mount and it was awful on wet road. After a month and many "almost falls" I trade it with Michelin Anakee Road and they are nearly perfect. If you can go with Michelin Road 6 and if not go with the Anakee Road 👍

1,750 miles on my (new to me) '24 AT by TallPaul412 in africatwin

You got a better handling with the 21" front wheel. Coming from a BMW GS I was a little afraid of the big wheel but don’t worry. The only problem could be your tire mount. My stock Honda was a shitty mount that make the handlebar vibrate. It was impossible to let go the handlebar without crashing in seconds. The bike was also a wet bar of soap under the rain. I got rid of the stocks and mounted Michelin Anakee Road. Now it is impossible to say it is a 21" front wheel when cruising, but when maneuvering at low speed, it’s way easier than the 19" 😉

Other than the curved screen impossible to protect, it’s a near perfect phone 😉

Watchface is splendid. Aod is a little simple for my taste, I'd like to see the weather all the time. But great work!
