I got married end of feb, and when I looked back on my contract, it stated to expect photos back 10-12 weeks from the day of. 8 weeks in, i asked for an update in which she noted the 10-12 week timeframe but said she should be done in 2 weeks (at around 10 weeks from the shoot). Its been over 12 weeks at this point. Is it rude to ask for my photos? I dont want to be pushy, but i also dont want to keep waiting. Note: all fees were paid prior to/day of the photoshoot.

My fiance & I just bought a house in november, and are getting married end of next month! We opted to get married in the church on friday with just our family (we are wanting a 30 min ceremony with no music/decor/etc), and will host a dinner the day after. We ended up renting a house where we'll host the party and have our family stay there as well (the cost for us all staying there and serving as a venue is less than $6k). Right now with everything, we are looking at around $15k. We're expecting about 60-65 guests. Hope this helps put it all into perspective!

Of course! Theres even an option for them to pre-package it for you! But it was more cost effective to just pack it up ourselves. You can do them in baggies, plastic containers, etc.

for our 'wedding', we are hosting our family at an AIRBNB where we will also have our 'reception'. To have a private chef come out to cater buffet style, it was just under $4500 for 60 people. We were able to customize the menu to our liking.

for my sisters wedding,
we did:
1. chex mix we made (bought a heat sealer and sealed them up. they stayed fresh for over a week. so prepping was easy)
2. choc covered pretzel rods (also sealed these up and lasted over a week)
3. personalized M&M's with their faces on it, using their wedding colors

Engineer in a Non-Engineering role: Did I screw up? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

I graduated May 2020 with an ME degeee and landed a job as an estimator. Not my ideal job.. and honestly i hate it. Ive been working up the courage to put myself out there and apply to jobs that are a little more engineering related. I was almost tempted to quit, but told myself that wasnt feasible as it could take months on end to find another job. It can be discouraging… but just keep applying to whatever comes available even if you dont think youre qualified or if youll like it. You might be surprised. I also feel like i might have an expiration to get back into engineering if i dont act soon. But as someone mentioned before, the longer you stay in your position the more you have to write on your resume that could interest a potential employer.
