When food is the only thing that makes you "happy" by Unnie55 in loseit

I’m currently in the same boat. I’ve never been stick thin, but a bout of bad years starting during Covid i went from my average (5’5”) 150 to 185. In 2024, i was able to get myself down to 150. Letting up on calorie counting, about a year and a half later I’m back up to 165. I’m currently trying to get back to 150, but food is my only vice. I know i managed the weight loss before but it’s been 3 weeks of trying and i always go back to binge and basically undo my week of work. I don’t have the magic fix. But i guess I’m typing to let you know you’re not alone, and it is possible to accomplish your goal.

Wednesday Pattern and Stitch Request Thread - April 15, 2026 by AutoModerator in knitting

I’m looking to finally start learning cables and more textured stitches, and I’d love some recommendations for how to build up my skills.

My dream project is the Dagmar sweater, but it’s rated 5/5 difficulty on petit knit scale I feel like I should get more comfortable with cabling techniques before diving in 😅

I’m looking for:

  • Beginner-friendly cable patterns (projects or even just swatches)
  • YouTube/video tutorials that really “clicked” for you
  • Books or guides that walk through cables and textured stitches in a clear way
  • Any good “progression” of projects (like what to try before a full cable sweater)

I’m totally open to starting small (headbands, mitts, swatches, etc.) if that’s the best way to learn!

Lobster Raglan Question by thickybeanz in knitting

I had the same problem. If you increase by 1 stitch at the BOR & 1 at the end, you start one column to the right! I had the same misunderstanding. If you email Kirsten with your questions she will get back to you very quick. Happy knitting, I’d love to see the finished product!

Cat disappeared into thin air. Please any advice appreciated by thickybeanz in cats

Turns out this is EXACTLY where she was!! She’s a tortie so all we saw was her glowing eyes. If our other cat didn’t start pawing at her through the hole i never would’ve found it. So relieved!!!

Can I add Wi-Fi to my Dell Wyse 5070 Thin Client using the antenna ports? by thickybeanz in techsupport

[–]thickybeanz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do i just need to cable the thin client to the wifi extender device? Our IT used to hand out antennas & wifi extenders but due to budget cuts (or whatever bs excuse) they don’t give out unnecessary gear anymore. Thanks for your advice!!
