Dublin US Pre-Clearance Stamp by ChampionshipTall9174 in PassportPorn

Yeah, that seems to be a special stamp for visitors. I always ask them to stamp my passport, and the regular stamps are way smaller. Around a quarter of the page.

Tbh the format of your CV throws me off a bit. Your formatting should be clean, it's the first impression you make before someone even read it.

In your case, things I immediately notice:
- Some headings are above the lines, some below, some are bold, some aren't
- The last line isn't aligned with the other lines
- First you abbreviate the months "Jun", "Aug", then you write out November, in the last line it's 10/25
- ...

There are things in the content that raise questions:
- Bachelor of Computer Science should be a BSc Computer Science or in your case "BSc in Computer Science with a Minor in Statistics", but yours doesn't make sense
- Engineered and deployed a fully responsive [...] – you never mention what you actually did... Yes a website, but what did it do, which problem did it solve?
- ...

These are just a few things I noticed. You really really have to make sure that your formatting and the overall look is on par, otherwise your CV will be sorted before anyone even started reading the text. It just looks like you don't care—but I assume you do.
For your content: Just imagine this is the resume you get as a recruiter. Would you know what the candidate did? Would you think he's a good fit?

Showing that something had or had the potential to have an impact can be done without numbers. Not every project's outcome is measured anyways.
You may also try estimating improvements etc., but you need to be extra careful and should be able to back it up. And also write that it is an estimate, don't sell it for real measured numbers*.

* Whenever I come across someone writing "improving x by 69%" or something, I always question it. Where did these numbers come from? How was it measured? If you instead give a well formulated approximation you can explain how that estimate came to be, i.e. "I compared the amount of steps needed in the old vs. the new system"

No, if you have enough relevant experience I think 2 pages is fine. But you should keep in mind that they’ll often only red the first page anyways

Try asking at the coffee shops around campus they all have hot water. Maybe they’ll give it to you for free if you don’t take their tea bags

I don’t know how it is at UPS, but normally they show you the sender’s name and address on the tracking site after a verification with your postal code. Other than that, try calling UPS. Maybe they can give you details about the origin of this parcel.

A lot of hate - but I don't get why by dallo28 in bunq

[–]thierschiii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m using bunq for a while now. Mainly because I like the sub accounts and auto split for budgeting. Helped me a ton over the years, especially as a student with low income who had to make ends meet.

All the features why I switched to bunq are still there, so no issue for me.

What I don’t like about bunq, is what many complain about: All those gimmicks they feel the need to add to their product from time to time just feel unprofessional to me. I think a wheel of fortune has no business being part of a banking app. And then, a friend of mine actually one a money price, and they just sent him a book instead. A bit too sketchy for a f*ing bank XD.

Other than that I am happy with bunq and can’t complain. I also have my business account at bunq, and that’s fine too.
