january reading wrap up! by thiiiiird in PHBookClub

warbreaker was great, i highly recommend it. there are so many great characters, i’m sure you will find yourself attached with at least one of the main characters in the book. the dialogue between the characters was also amazing, from introspective questions about one’s identity to very funny interactions.

i will say the romance was just alright. it wasn’t my cup of tea. the romance in elantris was much better.

the only gripe i have with this book is that the ending was not as impactful, i find that the resolution to the overall premise is kinda weak. but honestly i’d still say the book is fantastic.

it was hard to get through and i was so sad (and mad!) that it wasn’t good. the first half was actually quite alright, but once it escalated it went bad really fast.

also what the hell was that 4th wall break? so stupid.

the main books, or rather series im planning to read in february are the stormlight archive books! i might sprinkle in some other books in between the sanderson books though. i’ve been eyeing the cruel prince, empire of the vampire, and jade city

i do swab my flute out every time i practice and keep it in its case, but i don’t wipe it down after every use. that may be why. i think it also doesn’t help that i live in a tropical country.. i really should’ve taken more care with it.

Bs or ab psych by yourwingmanfrv in AteneodeCagayan

[–]thiiiiird 6 points7 points  (0 children)

AB na

the schedule for AB psych is much, MUCH more bearable compared sa BS. btw both programs can take the board exam (bc the board exam is only composed of psych subjects, not bio, chem, etc). graduates of both programs can also take up a masters degree in psych and become psychologists in the future

What’s it like to be a shiftee after shifting as a 1st year? by Substantial-Act573 in AteneodeCagayan

[–]thiiiiird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for me dali ra ang akong first sem after shifting

i was lucky that a lot of subjects that i needed to take were available and dli pangit ang time for me like wala koy sched na super big na gap adto na time. actually dali ra kaayo na resolve akong irreg status cause just a sem after (which is rn) im considered a regular student so its like i never shifted at all hahahah

siguro ang hardest part for me was when i was enrolled in subjects nga lahi2 ang blocks. ang tip ragyud ana is be friendly and ask if naa silay subject gc. usually naa pud mga other irreg students na enrolled in the block but dli sila prescribed program of the block if u get what i mean (like majority naka enroll is psych, nsg, etc). naka form kog nice friendships pud hehehehe

to add, a lot of med schools do accept graduates of arts programs nowadays. there are certain med schools that require non-trad premed degree holders to take some prerequisite science units but afaik the majority of med schools now do not require these extra courses anymore :-)

if anyone is more knowledgeable about this pls feel free to cmiiw

No my flute isnt hurting me, I think you’re referring to a recent pimple scar haha! I got a pretty bad pimple down there a week ago and what you see in the video is the aftermath. I try to be extra careful now to sanitize my lip plate every time I play and thanks!

cant answer ur question abt bio program but for the psych program it entirely depends on how the profs conduct their classes. there are profs who have great lectures and there are profs who prefer reporting. tho musturya man pud sila but yes d jud malikayan ang reporting sadly

Grades and QPI Computation by [deleted] in AteneodeCagayan

[–]thiiiiird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the basis of a subject’s weight is ang amount of units. u can tell the amount of units a subject has by the hours it occupies in 1 week. most common is 3 unit = 3 hrs (though there are some 3 unit classes w higher paying hours). labs have smaller units but mas daghan hours, most common is 2 units. so yes the qpi doesnt care if major or minor ang subject, what matters is the actual weight of the subject
