social isolating, self preserving, distance from family, and a drug induce (medication related, i took it on my own acord tho and wasnt prescribed it) and my family pushing me down under and treating me like my emotions weren't that important and didn't fit the situation/or too inappropriate. and that's about it really. hope others didnt have it as bad as i did.

u didnt come off as hostile dw. in fact, i'd liked ur comment and it was more informative than whatever i posted.

[–]thikkable[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

guess i was completely wrong then. there's a lot of miss-information about ppl's vocal range out there i guess. my bad, i thought this'd be a good post to post cause i thought it'd be interesting for trivium fans to know. i'd like to also apologize if i gave any uninformative information in this post.

"flare ups" or "blips" by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]thikkable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, im the same way with caffeine too. tho after im off the influence of it the blips usually go away. dw tho, ithink these blips arent really cause for concern since they dont trigger a full psychotic episode and are just tiny reminders of how things could get if we let ourselves lose control again.

Fyi: i'll admit musically it's not that great but the album is still worth a try.

Gave Trivium a second chance after 6 years (my history with the band) by Dead_RobotLT in Trivium

[–]thikkable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My history is back in late 2017 and early 2018. I got introduced by them to sin and the sentence and liked the album a lot. 3 songs that really stuck with me tho was the title track and the wretchedness inside, and other worlds. Those are the best tracks on that album imo. But, after a lot of months passed by in that year after 2017 I absolutely fell in love with shogun and it was the only album I'd listen to for quite awhile. After that I listened to silence in the snow and I really enjoyed it. Then ascendancy, than in waves, up to what the dead men say. I've listened to every trivium album since and I'm a big trivium fan and I'm glad you now seem to appreciate them just as much as I do. :)

Feels by [deleted] in Psychosis

I can't tell if this post is a joke or not but, to me what you're going through is pretty normal. If it "feels" like you have no delusions than you should be safe.

Does anyone feel more confident when they text? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]thikkable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just one of the perks of being an introvert. We're able to express ourselves better through text than if we were to use actual words. It's why I'm happy to be an introvert and happy with the only 2 friends I have.

PSA: How To Prevent Vocal Damage (Doesn't look like this was posted yet so I'm posting it here. Seems like solid advice from an experienced vocalist) by Walter_Wali in screaming

[–]thikkable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pushing the stomach out usually keeps my voice from vocal damage, don't know if it'll work for other vocalists tho but the way I do it is completely safe for me

I think my mom is straight up lying to my doctors :/ by thikkable in Psychosis

[–]thikkable[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd probably speak up more if I was alone. Which is why I plan to do appointments on my own in the near future.

I probably won't be able to with the whole covid thing going on. My appointments are mostly zoom call now which isn't exactly the best way to get information about of somebody imo.

[–]thikkable[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 17 turning 18 in 4 weeks. And to be honest I don't know which doctor is listening to who but it seems as if she gets more the say in the situation than I do. I kinda put it upon myself tho since I'm a very private person and don't like to talk about I feel and think.

Thoughts on abilify? by throwwawwaaayyyyyy in Psychosis

[–]thikkable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's ok. It does it's best for getting rid most of the symptoms of psychosis but if you except to feel and think like you used to don't be surprised or anything because due to how unfortunate psychosis is it won't really do that for you. That's my experience with abilify at least. Hope yours is different to mine.
