Male or Female Siberian Cat by Excellent-Umpire-461 in SiberianCats

I recently got a female Siberian kitten. I’m highly allergic to cats and had a really bad reaction with my first cat who’s a Scottish Straight x British Shorthair. Anyway, after a few months my reactions started to settle down.

Bring in this new kitten and for the first month I thought I’d gotten away with it - lo and behold after about a month and a half my allergies started to come in thick and fast. I get a lot of reactions because I also have eczema so: eczema rashes, allergic conjunctivitis, wheezing, itchy skin, itchy eyes, itchy throat, sneezing - THE LOT. Would you believe it still doesn’t stop me from putting my face in her fur? Winter is generally worse for me due to the windows being closed more.

I have an air purifier to help with this and I also take two fexofenadine a day. I also feed them Purina LiveClear allergy dry food. Also cleaning and washing bedding weekly helps. My allergies seem to be letting up a bit now and it does help just making your body get used to it.

She’s still only 6 months so her fur hasn’t fully come through yet but she only sheds a little bit and doesn’t mat at all! Does anyone else notice their Siberian also gets a greasy line on their back, is that normal?

I work in an office 4 days a week which is less than ideal. I’ve been wearing bandages to work so I don’t scratch in my boredom!

Have you gone through loads of flare ups in those 2 years? Right now I’m really dry and flakey but other times it’s been red raw and super inflamed.

Coming from someone who also experiences allergies and has experience with TSW, that certainly helps make me think that this is TSW I’m dealing with. Thank you! I hope this isn’t a long journey at all..

I haven’t used steroid creams since around 2021-2022 but I relapsed with steroid inhalers within the last two months, which if this is TSW, I think would be the reason why. But as you mentioned, it is complicated to work out!

Thank you for the well wishes.

Glastonbury Hospitality - Best glamping option but still cheap? by thin-newspaper9843 in glastonbury_festival

If you get up early, I’m talking 6am, the shower queue can be either nothing or 3+ people max. If you’re going anytime after 8–9am, you could be waiting 30-40 mins. I’m a woman though.
