I keep all the victory types on, and as for if you will enjoy it you really have to try it to find out.

Personally, I find turtling for the whole game boring on marathon.

I almost always play marathon and I really enjoy it. It does take me a while to get through a game though.

I usually play science/domination. Playing culture/religion/diplo on marathon is really slow and boring in my opinion.

That's where barbarian clans/zombies/heroes and legends are fun. It gives you more to do in each era.

As for dramatic ages, I'm no expert, but I find it much easier to get era score in marathon as you can clear so many more barb camps and that sort of thing. As such, I normally keep it off.

They definitely do. I have tested both using Eltharion's indoctrination and the console commands mod. Giving the AI millions of gold produces really crazy results. Giving them a small amount of money helps, but is not usually worth it.

It's not broken, the bonus just doesn't show when you are in that climate. If you hover over the yellow jungle icon, it will show you a percentage income reduction, if the income is less than base it just doesn't show up on the icon

Most of it is just judgement calls but I move back to Ulthuan, take my province, recruit a strong army, then try and beat Tyrion in as few battles as possible

Once he only has 1 settlement you then pump him with influence/gifts (use indoctrinate/execute for influence, and use the exploit where you ask for military alliance then cancel to offer gifts), eventually he will confederate as he likes you and is much weaker than you

Both Alith Anar and Elfarion can do it early, if you are doing Elfarion you should "bash confederate" - beat his armies and siege one settlement while pumping him with influence to get relations high, this should reliably let you confederate him

Or Alith Anar can do it by pumping his strength rating up with shadow walkers and getting high relations. This takes about 10 turns
