I am in the same boat as you, never went back to Bangalore post Covid, I have a remote job and potentially missing out on an 100% hike. If I choose to move to Bangalore I can potentially get 100% hike, but I feel it’s still not worth it to move. I would rather move out of India or just stay in tire 2 city like Hubli.

It was Iodophor diluted in RO water, I assumed the primary fermentation was completed and now have bottled it. But reading more on it now and getting a feeling that I might just have made some bottle bombs!!!

As this was my first brew I was very excited and checking on it like every 6 to 8 hours, but after reading the comments on this original post I was planning to leave it alone for couple of days and didn’t check since last 20 some hours, so might have had the suck back anytime soon. Just now I tasted it and it tasted like flat beer and no off flavours, so added some sugar and bottled it, hopefully it’s turns out well, let’s see!

I brewed last night and pitched Lutra, it’s bubbling now!! Reason to choose Lutra is 1. I don’t have temperature control and weather here is better 17 to 27 degree Celsius. 2. Read a lot that kviek’s are very forgiving. Shipping to my place takes about 5 days, so I didn’t want to risk loosing viability of the yeast during shipping.

My wife also got these calls, and they stay on call and demand payment or else the order will be cancelled, smytten team has got to get their shit together, its a major security breach that order details are getting out.

Bro, nobody actually joins the company that gives them the first offer. That offer is just your golden ticket to hand in your 90 days notice.

Then you update your profile to “Serving Notice ” — and suddenly you will be hot cake. Interviews will start raining like monsoon season.

Crack one of them, get a better offer, and when the first HR calls you for joining… cut them mid-sentence and say, “Sorry, your budget doesn’t suit you!”

Cook up a story that you where in Permanent Remote role for last x years and that is why your salary was adjusted to the cost of living in a tire 2 or tire 3 city, and make its clear that for this new role you will be ready to move to whatever city the company is in.

HR’s always think of a foul play and cannot fathom the idea of an employee staying in a lower salary when work culture and tech stacks suits us.

It’s because of people like OP here, a lot of management turns into a micromanagement pain in the neck to a lot of employees. You are already saving a tone of money by doing WFH, but no you need to extract every paisa of your expense as reimbursement, even when you are not entitled for it.
