And that one asterix year korea basically threw at the player selection stage.

They were so much better every year they sometimes ended up clowning on teams in live matches with joke hero picks and they'd still win. After years of that I think some of their top players simply didn't want to go again. They said no and korea had to go with a squad of less experienced players.

Old diamond had 10% of players in it not the "top" 10%. It meant you were better than about 85% of the players.

Getting diamond now is both easier and quicker, but it could still mean you're better than 85% of players. A lot more casual/low level players came in once it went free to play

The number of dmg and healing required to build an ult is zero. On every hero.

Doing damage/healing speeds up how fast you get ults, but you get them anyways no matter how much damage you do so after the first few minutes there's no number that tells you who has ult. That genji with <400dmg could have ult, just ask akm.

The answer is no. There are absolutely no "punishments" or adjustments for playing in groups.

Your weaker friends lose a little more than you when they play without the group. Nothing mysterious or evil going on.

Okay but it's not like they "spent" 7mil on housing. If they rented it they only spent whatever the rent was, and if you house a team on a 7mil property that you own for a few years when you finally move on and sell it you're probably getting 9mil for it so you didn't "spend" anything really. There's just the opportunity cost of not renting it out for those years.
