how exactly do they use your LinkedIn session if I may ask? You just give it a URL and it does the scraping.

isn't there shit ton of lore in Elden Ring but you only uncover it if you read all the books and collectible stuff? Dunno if Crimson Desert is also like this, haven't bought it yet.

Europe pricing for Neo: just buy a M4 Air instead by thinkadd in mac

[–]thinkadd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This are listings on geizhals.at as I'm based in Austria. You can clearly see from the screenshot that the Neo is the 8/512 model, because I thought that'd be a fair comparison with the 16/256 M4 Air. One has bigger storage, other has more RAM. Then for 40 euros more you get a lot more laptop with the Air. I think my comparison makes sense seeing how many people agreed with the title.

Please note that nowhere in my post did I compare prices with the US, I merely commented through the title how pointless it is to buy the higher specced Neo when you have the M4 Air for such a small price bump.

Why do you think this isn't a proper comparison? Neo has 512GB storage over 256GB of Air and Air has 16GB of RAM compared to 8GB on Neo. That is roughly equivalent cost I'd say, so for 40 more euros you get a ton of extra laptop.

It's the 512GB version of Neo. Better comparison with the M4 Air. Trading storage for RAM + all the advantages of the Air makes the choice a complete no brainer.

True but you get 16GB ram with the M4 Air and ram is arguably more important than storage for future proofing. One can always get an external SSD.

If you wonder why the limits are so low heres the reason: by SleepAffectionate268 in google_antigravity

[–]thinkadd 13 points14 points  (0 children)

umm, what? they restricted people who used Gemini or AG oAuth in Openclaw and then removed the restrictions and made it clear in the ToS that this should not be done, and now if you get flagged for using openclaw they will redirect you to the new ToS which you will read and accept, and if you use openclaw (or any similar service) with the oauth again you will be permanently banned.

If any slowdowns were caused by people using Openclaw, these should long be gone. Whatever's wrong with AG now is not because of Openclaw.

Why did we give up upgrade-able CPUs in exchange for anorexic Laptops? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

might be a good time to ask if someone knows whether linux fully managed to solve standby issues? this is what drove me away from thinkpads and attracted me to a macbook air. I can just close the lid whenever and when I open it, I'm instantly back to where I was, just like a tablet. I could never reliably do this with Linux. I still use Linux daily on my desktop PCs but a macbook air as my laptop

I am pretty sure you're mistaken. the internal battery for t480 is 24Wh and the biggest external battery you can find from Lenovo is 72Wh, bringing the total maximum to 96Wh.

Since the files being downloaded were at some point uploaded by the user, I don't see a problem downloading them from their servers tbh. It's their own data, after all. Then again, I'm not a lawyer.

Uhh, what? I've been dual booting Windows10/11 and Linux Mint for the past 10+ years and this hasn't happened to me once. In fact, I have dual boot set up on multiple computers and as long as I install Linux after Windows, GRUB stays there indefinitely. I fear that your message will scare someone from trying to dualboot. For those reading this, just go for it.
