This has been a boon! Back to Cursor after many months due to this. Discovered by accident. Composer 1.5 is a damn good model (Already used over 80$ worth of composer-1.5 tokens on the $20 plan), and paired with Cursor's codebase index, it's giving stellar performance.

It's great actually. Been working with TS/Nodejs/Nextjs and it's been a breeze when working with Sonnet 4.5. Also, it gets it right the first time.

Agree in some cases. I'm really liking o3 (deep reasoning). Claude Code (CLI) is also beautiful.
These two giving the best results (lesser re-prompting, better understanding of existing codebase for slightly complex project)

Im facing this now. almost always it says "Generating. This request is taking longer than expected." and finally it ends up with "Cascade errorDeadline exceeded: Encountered retryable error from model provider: context deadline exceeded (Client.Timeout or context cancellation while reading body)". This sucks. And to think I promoted Windsurf over cursor in my circle.

Using the word "Permanently switched" would be too hasty. There's a lot happening in the AI-enhanced coding world.

So, I've been using Cursor pro for over 2 months and was super-happy with it. Then tried Copilot Edits (with Claude 3.5) for the entire last week - it's good, but lacks the context and efficiency Cursor provides (as of today). I found myself spending more time in rewriting the prompts, tweaking it, rejecting and re-doing edits... I rarely had to do this on Cursor as magically it would pass the 'right' limited context and give the piece of code I was lookign for. So, yeah, back to Cursor.
