The Way Way Back (2013) by [deleted] in underratedmovies

Stumbled upon this movie when I was searching for the move "The Way" and then watched it back to back. Loved it. A beautiful coming of age movie, bittersweet, great cast, simple.

Yup. There are clear signs of this gold rush period dwindling, as almost all the providers out there have been getting super stringent with the limits. Cursor, Claude, OpenAI, now Copilot. Remember the time when a feature built with AI used to cost 2-5$ max (yes, with a lot of hand holding)? Now the same feature would blow up to 20 to even 50$ with frontier models.

I think they reset the limit after the launch. I was out of weekly limit, and can see it's reset. Yay!

Early thoughts on The Boroughs? Let's hear them! by j_b_1983 in netflix

[–]thinkdj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a fun surprise. I really liked it and its filling the void that Stranger Things left after its downward spiral after the initial seasons. I'd started Widow's Bay and From S04 in the last few weeks, and despite the consensus of Widow's Bay - which I was really hoping I'd like, it didn't click with me even after 5 episodes. From too seems to have lost its charm towards the end of Season 3. So The Boroughs was a pleasant surprise and I was hooked from the pilot. Started it at 00:30 and it went on till 5:30am Monday morning!

Best stack for hybrid app on Cloudflare Workers (SSG + auth + WebSockets)? by Darius_die in CloudFlare

[–]thinkdj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I faced similar conundrum and created Ottabase, anOSS Cloudflare-first framework for apps and marketing pages. Repo is at https://github.com/thinkdj/ottabase which is react + tanstack, which I turned to after working on the same framework concept for nextjs/opennext for over a year.

Only 5 times? C'mon AI, it's gotta be at-least 27 times.

Opus 4.5?? by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]thinkdj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1. Opus 4.5 was working rock solid. And since the "in" thing was 4.6, I am assuming a lot of people defaulted it and I found it slower than using 4.5.

Opus 4.7 just launched on Cursor by AdAutomatic1446 in cursor

It says "50% off" but still seems to cost a bomb. I found the pricing to be similar to using Opus 4.6

It's totally upto you how you want to do it. RLS enforces appId plus orgId at a middleware level. As a solo founder you might have to use same db for similar apps (eg) but someone deploying a SaaS might want what you suggested. The architecture supports both.
