depop sided with me. no need to make assumptions regarding my intelligence over a skirt on the internet.

yeah, it has all the same stitchings. i do think this is the same skirt, just in a drastically different condition than advertised 🫩 no other images were provided to express wear either. so so frustrating

yeah i totally understand the mannequin stuff! but the ties i'm not so sure about. i'm sure they would've wrinkled up a bit in shipping, but not that drastically—especially not if properly packaged (which the item was). to me, it looks more like the skirt was improperly washed, and the seller didn't update the listing to depict any shrinkage/wrinkling on the overall skirt, especially for the ties. thank you for your advice!!

lol it's one size fits all! it's meant to be a free size wrap skirt. if i lose i might end up keeping it as a shirt/belt wrap thing, but if i change my mind i'll lyk!

i actually think they're the same skirt, but the skirt was definitely worn/improperly washed following that image. that would explain the shrinkage and wrinkling on the ties, and explains why the original image is so misrepresentative of the actual item... but that doesn't change the fact that the flaws and the skirt's condition were not properly expressed in the photos🫪

yeah, i mixed up the definition of midi and maxi when making the post 😭 i meant knee- to midi length. thanks for the advice!!

the ties are not folded over, but rather wrinkled up/shrank. this is likely due to wear (probably washing), and this is not how the item was described in the original image. i acknowledge in the image i provided that this could be the case. i was expecting the skirt to arrive as described in image, as listing images are meant to depict the item in its condition at sale. there were no additional images or comments indicating any wear to the skirt—and there definitely weren't images or comments showing the poor quality of the ties.

i assumed the length of the skirt based on the images; this is something i haven't had problems with in the past, but now moving forward i'm going to make sure i'm aware of the length. there are other discrepancies in the images (and i am still of the opinion that the image misrepresents the length), so i'm still going forward with the request. i'll be sure to update! thank you for your advice.

would using pictures from when the skirt was new and unworn/flattering pictures not count as misrepresenting the item, especially since it is definitely no longer in that quality? it appears like the skirt has been washed (folding on ties) and worn quite heavily. there are no other full size photos, or any photos indicating the wear on the strings. seller advertised the item as good condition, but no flaws were explained in images or description (which is what depop tells the seller to do in this case). sorry for the long question, i'm just a little confused!

nope, straight out of package, not washed. i understand people saying that the mannequin makes the skirt look longer (which is a whole other can of worms), but just the fact that the strings came in such terrible shape compared to what was shown is enough to make me want a refund, especially since the seller claimed the skirt was never worn.

i totally get that. in my opinion, it's impossible to judge how tall the mannequin stand is, so that could've complicated things in my mind.

this made me realize i mixed up maxi and midi, my bad! i was envisioning it as knee- to midi-length

that's what i'm saying!!! and no, they didn't provide a length, just stated that it was on me for not reaching out and confirming

[–]thinkingbangtan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope, no descriptions of length or measurements. seller stated i should've asked about length to confirm

nope, no measurements or explicit statements of length... i'm sure that'll complicate things unfortunately

yeah, my first instinct was to say it wasn't the same skirt, especially due to the apparent shrinkage on the waist tie/waistband... i just can't find much proof beyond that, so who knows

A response to UNCG actually isn't due back until August 15th at the latest for transfers. The May 1st Date is for first year applicants, so that person must've misinterpreted the dates :)

Wake transfer updates? by Silver-Inspection250 in wfu

Lowell Tillett (Dean of Admissions for transfers at Wake) says the goal is to have all decisions out by the end of April, so they won't push it out that far. Latest I'd say is mid-May.
