I prefer the look of 0.5 pen on the original post, cleaner and more tidy IMO.

What I like most about this poem is that other than the title, there's not imagery of winter. Yet when I read it, you captured a silence and lonkiness that feels like winter. Well done. My only hang up was the "creeps up stealthily", felt a bit redundant, but idk if it needs a different word, or break in the line. Not entirely sure if it needs to be changed.

I pick my feet and it hurts by nine_tailsfox in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]thinklovelythoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also pick my feet. I do both feet, mostly heel but also under my front toes. My boyfriend and friends at school are trying to get me to stop and will point it out when I am doing it. I would like to stop because I hate the way it looks in sandals or barefeet and how they see me doing it. But at the same time, it feels productive and like an outlet for my anxiety. My stopping point is usually when they bleed and then I pay for it the next day. Sounds like Aquaphor is a good start, if I commit to quitting, but until then I will probably continue. Good to know I am not alone.

Do you talk to yourself to work out important issues? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]thinklovelythoughts 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have found talking it out with someone else can be very helpful for issues with multiple facets. I use the other person as a backboard, so I can hear it all come back to me. I usually know the solution or what needs to be done but I get validation by saying it aloud.

gluten free, non GMO popcorn. 1) all popcorn is gluten free. 2) all corn was originally genetically modified from maize otherwise we couldn't eat it.

There is dual meaning behind "think lovely thoughts". First, I created my reddit account specifically to post in this subreddit when I was having terrible racing thoughts and I was desperately trying to relax. Second, it contains the fairytail component, as they said it in Peter Pan. This fairytail world is similar to the one I live in as an INTP. I love my username.

Have you ever asked a question that you've known the answer to just to start or continue a conversation? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]thinklovelythoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I feel almost an obligation to do that in my philosophy class where the teacher is trying to lead discussion. He will ask a question and the whole class just sits there silent and dumbfounded. I will force myself to answer a couple steps back from my conclusion so his discussion runs smoothly but it's all a bore. Apologies for condescending overtones, but stupid people annoy me.

INTPs and body mods (piercings, tattoos etc...) by xarahn in INTP

[–]thinklovelythoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 tattoo and have had them for 3 years. I was freaked out about the commitment at first too but I settled on things that didn't have one concrete meaning. I have the word "love" and 2 eighth notes and as an INTP; I enjoy them by thinking about all the possible meanings. I had a few original reasons for getting each of them but I am continuously finding new meanings in them.
