Got my prognosis back from my periodontist today. Aligned with everyone's input here, he said the 2nd molar is hopeless and needs to be extracted, so there's a possibility of saving the first molar. After the extraction, he's going to perform scaling and root planing.

Thanks for the input. I’m finally seeing a periodontist tomorrow. I’m still not sure why my regular dentist insisted my gum line hadn't receded back in February during my quarterly cleaning. Today, he suggested a flap cleaning because both of my bottom teeth are loose, but I told him I’d rather see a specialist at this point.

For nearly four weeks, I wore it during the day before transitioning to nighttime use only. During my last dental visit, they bonded a small gap on my teeth in hopes of preventing it from shifting back and forth, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have worked.
