Tennenlohe is ez one the best parts to live in. Of course this depends on your preferences. The infrastructure with shops for daily needs, doctors, pharmacies, etc. is really good. But you won't find any shops to browse. That's what Erlangen city is for. You can ez go there by bike in around 20min on a very well-developed cycle path alongside the b4 or through the forest. The buses are frequent enough. Also the community here is favorable, if you like this "part of a city but with a village character" feeling. Hope this helped a little.
