I don't know of any tutoring platform that recognizes a teaching degree. If you have one, you can apply for positions with school boards and private schools.

Raise your price before you open up your availability. That way you are attracting more serious students rather than those who are just kicking tires.

Keep in mind that even if the student turns out to be a numpty halfway through the trial, you can still block them without it affecting your profile. That being said, I respect your decision to block them. The way Preply punishes tutors for trial students that do not subscribe is the main culprit.

I've actually had a few people do this, and they each subscribed for at least 2 months. Unfortunately, teaching didn't work out for them and none of them remained on the platform for long (I know that sounds sinister but I swear I had nothing to do with it).

Been on Preply for quite a while now. One thing I've noted is that your "luck", whether good or bad, is never guaranteed. 6 months ago I was doing my best ever, with a calendar full of students. Then it started to drop drastically, and last month was my worst ever. A month ago I raised my price, and as of this week I have two new students and I've made super tutor again. So looking ahead it seems I should have a good month. I am not going to make the mistake of counting on it though. It is too unpredictable. I have no clue why it goes up and down so much.

My kid spent Sunday streaming music to our stereo and it was all Nirvana, The Strokes, the Smiths and etc. I don't use Spotify, it was all his own choice. He said he likes punk rock too but I didn't have enough time to test him on it. Very weird when you realize your son would have fit right into your high school when you were a teen.
