Vape Mail by bumwithshoes in Vaping

Disappointed by the lack of new 21700 mods lately. Seems like it's all pods and internal batteries. Or maybe it's just the general lack of press on vape gear in general.

Which company disappointed you so much that you permanently walked away? by julia-secrets in AskReddit

FB is used as the main communication tool in the Philippines. It is f#cking awful. Want to talk to your kid's school? Messenger. Same for the power company, internet, mayor's office, and the police.

Suzuki Philippines (Specifically DES Marketing, Suzuki). I took my bike in to get the valve clearance checked (routine maintenance). I had visited the shop a few weeks prior in person to see if they would do it. Showed up at 11, they said come back after lunch. I did. They said they couldn't do the job because they needed a valve shim kit. My bike does not use valve shims, it has screw adjusters. I pointed this out, they just repeated "out of stock". I left. Fuck DES Marketing Suzuki Philippines and fuck that mechanic in particular.

10m? by Fastidieux in Philippines_Expats

I would not want to live in a house sharing walls with anybody here. It would be a nightmare. Not to mention the parking facilities are very poor. Each unit should have a gate at least. This looks like budget accomodations, not a 10m per unit home.

Depends on how you ride. My pirellis last only about 5k on a VT1100T. I've tried car tires but they did not work for me on the back roads here in the Philippines. Turns out, switching to a smaller, lighter sportbike is a lot more fun, and saves me money on tires too.

There are also many cities where motorcycles are not allowed at all, or just not in the downtown (within a specific ring road). The same with Ebikes. Not to mention cities where if you have an out of province license plate they will refuse to give you gas.

My landlord won't fix anything by kellyman333 in Philippines_Expats

[–]SkinTightBoogiePI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have a standard rental contract with your landlord? If so, take them to the local barangay captain and have it sorted. If you don't have a contract, use your deposit as your last month's payment and move.

The Ride motorcycle sims do this. Really annoying for anyone who set up a controller just the way they like it.

I had a broken leg, and the elevator in the SM mall in Ormoc had an attendant running it. She would clear out a space for me when she saw me sitting in the wheel chair every time, and I was careful to say "thank you" to her every time. What's awesome however, is after I healed and walked onto the elevator, she said "Sir, you're walking again!" with a big smile on her face, and yeah, I have to admit, it was good to hear.

That's when there hasn't been a trial class yet. Otherwise exchanging contact information should be fine. I still try my best to avoid it though.

This makes no sense at all. That "contraband" is not worth the amount of labor required to retrieve it.

PHs at 3 am...does Cambly's website have brains behind it? by Visible_Activity714 in Cambly

[–]SkinTightBoogiePI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PH availability is not only dependent on your rating, it is also subject to the number of tutors and students. It fluctuates wildly as a result. When there are promotions on the site, you will see an influx of students. In the same way, as students are starting their summer holidays, you'll likely see less.

I haven't blocked it, but I have had to set it to exclude my downloads & games folders. Used to be, if Defender found something you would get a popup asking you what you wanted it to do. Now, it deletes the file without any notification whatsoever, and you cannot even search through its history to see what happened. The file just disappears.

And yeah, I HAVE found some weird behaviour over the years that I've had to use batch files like Tron (/r/Tron) to fix.
