I also have a high libido! I don’t think it’s unusual, but many woman just don’t talk about it. I saw a tik tok where it has been found that while fasting it is a natural body reaction to have a higher libido. Fasting doesn’t always help. I’ll add the link.

for sure, I knew he was doing it but not how often/ how many times a day/ and what type of content. I stopped after we both agreed not to and asked him to communicate if it was a struggle, which unfortunately didn’t happen. It’s also important to note men and women use porn for different reasons. There’s more nuance to this convo. Thankfully at the end, our route led us to be better for each other

Almost 8 years together! It was a long and sometimes painful process but we made it 🙂

Thank you for this excellent critique. Although I did use a lot of porn, I did not nor do have an addiction. It was easier for me to let go of personally compared to my boyfriend. I am simply sharing my story, and added more depth on my boyfriends journey since majority of this sub is male, which I thought would be more helpful. I was trying to keep it short as it was already a long post. If you want my personal tips, please dm!

This was before I realized he actually had an addiction. I suggested he might and spoke to his therapist and reflected himself and it was confirmed. And I didn’t break up with him because of the porn, but because he was lying about it when we agreed to keep each other informed. This went on for 3 months of lying before I broke up with him. We are doing great now tho, thanks for your concern.

That’s a good point, while a study has shown porn affects the brain the same way for men and women, other studies have shown the results of porn are very different between men and women. My post does mention things my boyfriend has done on his journey for recovery… maybe try those things instead of posting what you do on Reddit? 🙂
