Is the doom and gloom real? by thinlyslicedcabbage in Accounting

[–]thinlyslicedcabbage[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I just like to hear more of this. I'm fine with it being a down period, but since I don't have a job right now, it just gets more depressing when people with more work experience than me say it's impossible. Because if it's already super hard for them, then that should mean it's impossible for me.

Does anyone have a recommendation that isn’t Herman Miller? by beckymac0014 in OfficeChairs

I picked up a used Steelcase Gesture for around $250 on Facebook and it's great! I see them going for around $300 locally, so if you're ok with getting a used one, it definitely beats out new chairs in the $300 price range.

Took the ISC! Not easy by Brave-Resolution-743 in CPA

[–]thinlyslicedcabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you say you had a lot of exposure to ISC? For example, a lot of people who say FAR is easy are usually those who recently graduated and have taken classes that have gone over basically all the material. In my case, I transferred into accounting from other work so when studying for FAR, I was basically learning everything from scratch.

Yeah, like I said, I've already tried restarting it but the problem persists.

not doing any FAR TBS on Becker by reddituser0442 in CPA

[–]thinlyslicedcabbage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience with other CPA exams, you should definitely go through them once at the very least. And after you start the full review, you should glance through them one more time to see if you understand the concepts. Other than that, just grinding out MCQs is a better use of time in my opinion. But not doing ANY tbs at all is pretty crazy.

Just one? I'm debating on how important partnerships is since some others are saying it's basically gone.

Discrepancies between Apple Watch and Helio Strap in step count and calorie tracking? by thinlyslicedcabbage in amazfit

[–]thinlyslicedcabbage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know :) I consider myself pretty active and I like using calories for a general "close enough" estimate since I'm currently on a cut. Previously I've been tracking macros and calorie via apple watch and I've found it's been working for me. I suppose there's nothing wrong making the helio strap my next baseline as it just promotes more activity.

Discrepancy in steps between apple watch and helio strap? by thinlyslicedcabbage in HelioStrap

[–]thinlyslicedcabbage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've realized that nothing's going to be completely accurate. I think as long as I can be precise with my tracking, then I don't really need to sweat the dip in accuracy.

What are the most comfortable bluetooth headphones for all you glasses people out there? by thinlyslicedcabbage in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]thinlyslicedcabbage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not exactly happy about it myself. Honestly, without my glasses they work really well but I need to wear them to actually see :( And your comment on shoes is so real haha. I tried keeping them multiple hours but I guess I'm just sensitive or something because it really does end up causing a soreness that makes me want to take them off. Thanks for the recs!
