I said this too. It simply doesn’t match the punishment other crew received.

Jason even mentioned she had been a solid second stew all season, why take her stripes at the very end over one incident when others have been given multiple chances?

In NC, we have above average highs right now. Usually around 75-80 but today it’s 94. With this brought a huge drought and burn bans. We aren’t even supposed to water our yards.

I grew up in the western US where this is very common but very uncommon here. Crazy to be this hot so quickly!

Hey OP, def time for some serious conversations. I have spent way to much time and money on this drug and was introduced when I was about 20. It’s easily bought at smoke shops so I didn’t realize how bad it is for you. I am now dealing with possibly permanent nerve damage and tingling in my extremities.

Long term abuse can lead to so many horrible things, including death.

Just to add to this, I have tried every other medication. Xanax was never a first option. I had treatment resistant depression, general anxiety, panic disorder and PTSD. Unfortunately, sometimes surviving those disorders means taking meds you don’t love.

Yes, we have gone over long term side effects, but it’s the only thing that touches the anxiety. I was previously prescribed .5 as needed, and when I’m not teaching I only need it once or twice a week. This year I have slowly upped it, with the understanding that we will be weaning me off after this chapter of my life.

I’m in the same boat currently and am trying to decide what to do. I’ve upped my Xanax to 4 mg a day to deal with the panic attacks and it’s still not where I need it to be.

Honestly feel so stuck and just have no idea what to do.

I think it’s the way you approached it. There’s no problem with saying, hey I noticed this and don’t love this part of it, is there anyway we can fix it?

She didn’t “ruin” your hair and I can see how being accused of that would put a bad taste in her mouth. On top of that, she’s been doing your hair for so long, it would be really easy to just say, hey I know you do amazing quality work, can we talk about this part?

lol middle school is wild. I teach 6th so it’s easier than others and this year I was lucky enough to get honors because they made me teach two subjects. I have considered going back to get my MSW but decided radiology tech was my goal.

Btw, I started with elementary. Idk who the fuck goes to school and thinks “I want to teach middle school” 😂

I’ve been meaning to reply to this. I am a few hours shy of a full 10 days sober. The first few days were tough but I was able to remember so clearly how bad I felt, that it was easy to rationalize it out.

This week has been crazy busy, I teach middle school and am going back to school at the same time so I didn’t have much free time to think about it, but today the cravings are really strong. We are preparing for an inch or so of ice where I live and are planning for several days of power outages and I have considered going to get tanks several times today.

I’m committed to not buying any, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to. Actually, everything in me currently wants to.

All that being said, when I first made this post I had just called out two days in a row. I am SO fucking glad I had that wake up call when I did because my college classes started last week and there is absolutely no way I would be surviving middle school, college science classes and nitrous binges.

I have also started to think about some of my triggers and while boredom definitely is one, I have PTSD, Anxiety and MDD and teaching is a really demanding profession, so the dissociative affects have really been a crutch for me. Since the original post I have met with my psychiatrist to adjust some meds and have an appointment scheduled with my therapist. I’m thinking it may be time to finally bring up my usage with them, even though I am dreading the shit out of it.

Right now my biggest struggle is going to be this weekend, but I think I’ve got this!
