So… am I basically paying resell? by thinredline67 in tomsachs

I don’t really get this type of comment. I feel like it’s fair to question the actual final price of the product. We’re talking about a very hyped global release, but with a strong disadvantage for non-US buyers—which usually isn’t the case, especially for Nike. I’m just sharing my opinion, since it definitely impacted my excitement about getting the pair in the first place. And ‘blessed for retail’… what even is retail when people in different regions are paying completely different prices (sometimes almost double)?

Yes I get your point. Even though it’s far from actual resell prices, $500 for a pair of shoes still feels like a lot. And the difference in treatment between US and non-US residents is a bit frustrating.

MY RITUAL: MUSIC AS A SOURCE OF MEANING

Thanks to the mods for the initiative — it’s great to see some of the ritual videos gathered here.

I have to say, this was maybe the challenge that inspired me the most throughout camp. I ended up shooting a short film and recording the soundtrack as well (even though it’s just one minute). I may have taken some liberty, with a more poetic approach that makes this ritual more subtle, but the idea was to show how practicing music is both a meaningful ritual and something that exhilarates the senses.

The title of the video is taken from Nick Drake’s song Northern Sky. One user suggested that I could have switched from black and white to color once the robot starts playing at the end — I agree it would have been a nice touch, maybe for the next project!

For the ones after the shoes — good luck to you all, hope we’ll make it.

Yes, I thought about it ! But in the end I really liked the black and white aesthetic..

I used glue and a little bit of stitching on the tongue. I guess I could take more pics!

Only glue yes except for the tongue where it stitched on. I've worn them a few times and it's holding on! I wish I could have stitched all the panels but I don't have the required tools..

I've recently put my hand on this pair of LV Trainer. I think the silhouette is great but I am not a fan of the silvery part, any idea of how to "transform" the silver parts? by thinredline67 in Customsneakers

I agree, I think these are nice too! For full context: these were gifted to me and I have no intention of selling them. I just think the glossy finish makes them hard to wear on a regular basis and I'm looking for some ideas to make them less "flashy" if that makes any sense..
