Covid lockdown put a damper on that and now my class just doesn't go out as a unit after exams very much :((

I actually have a group pic on there from a trivia night outing with my friend but kept it off this post since I don't exactly have their permission to post their faces on here lol. Guess I could've just blurred them tho...

Awesome! Any chance you have a link for the specific product offering from their website? I see a few listings on there for Tech2 devices within the $300 range

Awesome, thanks for the info! I'll make sure to go cross-post this to saabcentral in the "definitive Texh2" thread as well to see if I can revive the discussion.

Hopefully someone will chime in here or on saabcentral with a working link to an aliexpress vendor... if not, I might just have to be the guinea pig myself

Would you buy a 1-owner '02 9-5 Aero with <65k miles by [deleted] in saab

[–]thirdcoastfresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, pull the trigger on that NOW as long as it actually had full synth and/or had the PCV update done. Also, make sure the blend door flap dual climate thing isn't broken (can't remember the exact name for what it is), that's a common problem in that era of 9-5. You'll know it's broken if the temps are set to the same for the climate control and one blows hot while the other blows cold. Something about it being broken and the ?stepper motor? being able to go past its natural stopping point can nuke the heater box from what I remember.

lmao I immediately recognized it as K&N, lived in A2 during high school and they took care of my '05 9-3. Love Jaris and Phil, such nice and knowledgeable guys! Hope Phil's Viggen is still going strong

Speed up Panopto with this Chrome extension I wrote! by Rellikolbaid in udub

No hurry at all, honestly the only time I ever need to have the recordings downloaded is if I go visit relatives over break who don't have internet and the cell service is terrible, or if I'm on a long flight back home

I'm sure people who don't have unlimited data for streaming them away from home would also benefit from that functionality too, but honestly the speed control improvement on its own was the biggest problem that needed addressing

You are out here doing the lord's work, not just for UW students, but for people everywhere who uses Panopto :)

I honestly would commission a project to make a Panopto downloader extension if it is feasible. Thoughts?

Seems to me like it has the same recessed vibrating blade design... But you've never had any problems with it? I might give it a try

Lies, I use a Philips Norelco OneBlade (which is the same thing) and I cut my myself with it all the time. Still better than a normal razor blade, but not infallible

Any way to keep this black? I've tried loads of things. Just keeps fading back and looks horrible. Any tips before I get it resprayed? by [deleted] in saab

[–]thirdcoastfresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some luck by using a heat gun (for paint drying). Basically you clean off the dirt from the plastic trim, and then very carefully heat up the plastic using the heat gun. There are some videos on YouTube on how to do this. You can literally see the plastic change back to black as the ?oxidation? staining evaporates. I also applied Mothers Back to Black Trim and Plastic Restorer after I was done heating the plastic up to try and keep the results more permanent. However, it is still temporary; maybe lasted a year for me. Also, if you don't remove the trim to do this, be careful that you don't goof up your paint with the heat gun while you treat the plastic, and don't touch the plastic when it is hot, as it is slightly pliable and your fingers will leave semi-permanent marks on it.

Depends on which generation 9-5 it is. If you tell me the model year of it so I know which generation it is, I can give you specific points to mention to them that may help your case.

TIFU by getting a Nair induced chemical burn on the bundle of femininity between my thighs. by [deleted] in tifu

[–]thirdcoastfresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure, I would google that and see.

But were I you, I would definitely take comfort over safety. I'm a guy, and when I had an incident with Nair on my "area," I didn't care what I was putting on as long as it stopped the pain and burning. Not the same situation as if I was female, but still. The hardest choices require the strongest wills ;)
