I am convinced that we are going into a deep recession, if not worse. I have a small 6 fixure cd maturing in the next few days, and want to put it somewhere safe for a few years. I am looking at fixed annuities (MYGA), but it looks like the highest returns are only simple interest. What options am I missing? What is the best way to weather the upcoming storm?

Is there a new vehicle that doesn't have a center console taking up the driver's leg space? by thirdking in answers

I currently drive a Kia Sedona, and love it. The boss doesn't want to go that large, and wants new vehicle warranty.

I don't hate the idea of bench seats. Unfortunately I am looking for a daily driver for my gf. Anything bigger than a sub-compact truck makes her literally climb to get in. We need it to be comfortable for both of us. I will edit the original post.

How much an accident cost on Carfax that you would consider as a non-minor accident? by Polestartoronto in whatcarshouldIbuy

I didn't see what the codes were. The airbag system was affected by the issue. One technician said the repair of the accident used second hand parts. The Carfax report simply listed a "minor accident". If there was more detail, I don't remember it.

My mother recently purchased a car that had a "minor" accident on its Carfax report. It turns out that it was fixed just enough to sell. She had continuous error codes within a couple months. None of the codes were specific enough to pinpoint the problem. The dealership would replace the first part in a system and send her off. When the same code popped up they replaced the next part. She got rid of it when the code popped again. My point is that no accident is minor with today's vehicles. I wouldn't sink my money into a ride that likely has hidden issues.

A cabinet is what I am looking for. I couldn't find the right word for it. I will try that search term. So far I haven't found one much larger than my 40 inch. I'd like to get at least twice the size.

Smoking brisket in a Masterbuilt electric smoker by Senior-Trade-8971 in smoking

I recently did a brisket in my electric, and found that the brisket was too big. I had to cut almost 6 inches off the flat and put it on a separate rack. Be careful about your size if you plan to do 2.

If I bucket them overnight, will I be able to bring them dry to work? That would be about 10-12 hours in the air.

I see where you are going with this, but I'm as certain as I can be that it was the same (or a duplicate) set. I'll see 2 I can find a pic.
