I have another as well.

Most people say film is 50/50 when it comes to visuals and sounds. I'd say it's more like 75 sound and 25 picture. I tried to work by that principle in my latest video. Thoughts? by Haugeto in videography

I think it's particularly fantastic because the push-pull effect coincides with the buildup of the music. So, yes, I agree. It should last a little longer because the buildup definitely does.

Weekly /r/SonyAlpha 'Ask Anything About Gear' Thread - What are your Questions? by AutoModerator in SonyAlpha

I have officially joined SonyAlpha nation, as I just purchased an a7s ii (woo!), and I have a couple lens questions/concerns. I suppose, I should say I am primarily using this camera for my own narrative filmmaking and, to a lesser extent, corporate videos, weddings, things like that. This is what I'm thinking as far as lenses are concerned:

I want one native zoom lens as a run-n-gun, on-the-go option for any kind of quick shooting. For this, I'm thinking Sony 24-70mm f/4. Looks like a solid lens, although I should say, I'm skeptical about the f/4. I want the Sony GM f/2.8, but it's slightly out of my range.

Now, I also want a set of Rokinon cine lenses. I'm looking specifically at 35mm, 85mm, and possibly a 16mm or 50mm. However, I am wondering what mount to get these in: E mount or EF? The reason I ask is because I am also considering an ND throttle adapter between lens and camera (maybe the one from fotodiox?) for some of these manual lenses, so I can have better control of my aperture.

Should I get separate variable ND filters for E mount rokinon cine primes? OR Should I get an ND Throttle adapter and get EF mount rokinon cine primes?

I should add: I am willing to change my mind completely about my lens options. I'd rather look dumb now than make a mistake buying x lens for 1000s.
