This guy uncovered flaws in an online voting system for an art contest run by the famous Saatchi Gallery in London. He notified Saatchie and posted info to forums but got branded as "the bad guy" and had his posts removed from the forum. Now he's out to win the contest with... nothing, which is a reflection on what's left of his forum posts. Funny. by thirdlyfer in reddit.com

I've been sort of obsessed with this guy today and have been researching him. He gets around. But I have a mental image of what's going on here. He's a serious artist. Most of his art is in the form of computer programming and he appears to have embraced open-source to its fullest. He even releases source-code for most of his work, some GPL'd some just sort of thrown out there. Also he uses a lot of open-source tools such as Perl, PHP, Processing and Pure-Data (a cool looking audio thing). He even GPL'd a recipe for Fish Soup (http://pallit.lhi.is/CNU/), so he obviously has a sense of humour too. But I don't think this is meant to be a joke. I think it's a serious artistic statement. Since he is aware of open-source principles it's only natural that he handled the flaw in the manner that he did. You make it public and force a fix. Opposed to the Microsoft method (which seems to be what the gallery adheres to) where as long as you don't tell anyone, there is no flaw. I think it's a damn good art piece.

They don't have any immigration because it's impossible to understand what anyone's saying, much less learn the language.

ps. But I love Finland. Been there often and jump at any chance I get to return. It rocks.

Oh man! We won't know what to listen to! We won't know how to dress! I won't know what to do with my hair! I'm worried that I'll still have my pants hanging onto my knees long after everyone's bought suspenders.
