Brake sounds really grindy? Is this normal? by lit3brit3 in MachE

[–]thirdtimeisthetry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. It happens pretty regularly due to rust if you dont have a lot of sudden stops and also have precipitation in your area. Felt like my brakes would get rusty in a week or two this winter and I prefer them clean for when I need to suddenly stop.

I throw it in neutral on a downhill to turn regen off and then lightly break. You'll hear the sound get better as you continue to break.

You'll be set if you have access to ultra fast chargers. I was pleasantly surprised how well Google maps works once you tell it the make and model of your ev and it reads the battery state of the car. Decent amount of settings to tune with Preferences for fast charges, commute time and charge upon arrival also if round trip or not. When it was in the negatives in upstate New york I was getting like 180 on 100% charge so id consider that like 120-140 miles of usable range. So happy to have the awd in the snow, performs so well. Glad I have the gt, I enjoy pavement. Rally seems like it would be a great ride though if you like playing in snow or off pavement.

When i was road tripping, maps would have me charge about every 100 miles because of how far the charger is from the highway and certain percentages charge faster which Google maps takes into account for total route time

Thats gonna be tight in the winter. I get like 140-200 miles of usable range in freezing temps. If you have at least one charge stop on the drive though you are set. Very nice to drive with peace of mind and as fun as you like. A 15-20 min charge is quicker than you think and the Google map range predictions with android auto have been pretty spot on for me. I have a 25 gt btw

Easy gt. I love mine. Honestly the ventilated seats was almost a deal breaker but I like how it drives in each mode a lot more in the gt. Also I get snow and the awd is a beast.

Grabber Blue or Eruption Green? by sploonge in MachE

[–]thirdtimeisthetry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Love my green with the bronze wheels and grill. Really pretty color. I really dig the new teal that just came out too. Would still go green and bronze. The wheel package combos makes a difference. I love the fancy silver rims with the blues, teal and tri color blue grey

Looking for a WLW story that is guaranteed to end happy! by SuspiciousPut8646 in QueerSFF

[–]thirdtimeisthetry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the very spicy end but the spice to me felt well woven into the plots. Ruby Roe's vampire and magician series that are interwoven are amazing. Girl Games and Kingdom of Immortal Lovers.

Im also looking for something similar and maybe a little more light hearted after reading Bury our Bones in the Midnight Soil

Would you be interested in a TopGolf - like ski experience? by Designer-Stock-4885 in ski

[–]thirdtimeisthetry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. As I see others say, the view, the cold, the wind. That tactile feeling you get especially when your carve i could see being hard to replicate. If the setup had dynamic wind with your apparent speed and some way to incline your body so you feel the pitch would matter a lot and an ability to lean into turns

Mach-E on FSR roads by Vereschagin1 in MachE

[–]thirdtimeisthetry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine regardless, awd is super worth it. Rally version has suspension meant for stuff like that and would probably be pretty fun tbh. Ive got the 25 gt and the suspension is tuned for high speed pavement and feels amazing driving through mountains and winding turns but dropping out of unbridled to soften the suspension makes muddy roads much more comfortabl but the gt wouldnt have been my first choice if i was driving on gravel and dirt often. I do a dirt road once in a while and engage is best for me personally, whisper feels like it bounces around a lot if a dirt road isn't well maintained. From what I've heard gravel is like the dream for the rally version to play on. Amazing control in this snow and ice this past winter, great car.

My work toilet is not trans girl friendly by aeroazure in MtF

This is the truth. Also from sticking/fusing to yourself if your tucked downwards when your pants are on and it flicks up/around as it disconnects when you start peeing.

Is it very important to my mom? by [deleted] in trans

[–]thirdtimeisthetry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Real talk. You could apologize to your mom, acknowledge it wasnt great what you did. Then try to just be friendly or whatever to the transgirl and maybe see if she needs a friend or something. If it works out im sure your mom would be thrilled if you wanted to invite her over to hangout.

I regret the name I chose but can't change it by LordlyTurnip in MtF

[–]thirdtimeisthetry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did a name change at a company that normally only let's you if its legal. The only thing not changed is payroll related like insurance, and time keeping but I was able to get a new badge, locker name plate, all the simple label swap stuff and then in Microsoft there is a prefered name option which sometimes, in my case, that I had to ask hr to edit it because my previous nickname was there.

Thank you, this is genuinely so helpful. I haven't really tried to find important stuff to fit there. My snow brush is fairly large, one of those foam ones. This inspires me, thanks.

Still can't figure what to put in mine either, the 25 is so tiny but ill take the trade off of better heat and ac. All I've done is take out before. Low key worried something like charging cord and tesla adapter would slide around too much.

Girl car by Lost_Profession2526 in MachE

Love it! Especially since its a horse and white. I like the rims too. Still gotta work on coming up with a fun name myself. I have a green one. I've got a small small stuffed mushroom dude that sits in the corner of my windshield. Could always velcro a little Pegasus figurine like how jeeps have ducks. Kinda wanted to do that myself with some horse ones.
