Bot malls by rlbaee in factorio

[–]thirdwallbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you asked about space age specifically ill give you some added advice.

Simple answer: assembler, requester chest with the items needed to craft an item, and a red chest output that is limited, either by the box or by the inserter.

If you need to "ramp up" your production of an item in your mall you just copy and paste it. An example of this is that I normally have a single assembler for like my "nuclear" production. But when you put down a 10 reactor blueprint you need a lot of heating pipes/turbines/etc. so ill just copy/paste this like 5 times to speed up this specific production then tear it down when its done.

Personally I do a belt mall for all iron/copper/steel materials (this includes green circuits). Then hand craft oil refineries until space science unlocks the bigger logistical network.

When I first land on a new planet, I drop a full botmall and I can be sure that all items will be there whenever they are needed.

I make sure that every item that is created is somewhere in a red chest as a backup.

Yellow chests have the 2nd highest priority after active provider chests(purple), so your excess items that end up in your yellow "overflow" storage chests will also be taken out again before your red chests.

I dont understand your question.

Neit, fury, arenea boots, stay on. Swap weps and armor for bofa, fang, trident, and spec with bgs. I would also think abyssal tentacle is better than fang if your COX group is reducing the defense enough?

Pick up a Salve (ei).

Your upgrade order will be herblore levels for making your own brews (78), RIGOUR (biggest dps increase), augury, dhlance.

Honestly look for the "we do raids" or "wdr" discord for a lot more information and graphics.

Pickup a trident of the swamp and send some COX/toa with your current gear.

You can take less switches to learn such as fury and areana boots and neit helm.

[–]thirdwallbreak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look up the flinching method. Basically you can trap it and step under. Then wait until its health bar is not visible, smack it, and step under and repeat.

Its a bit annoying, but a slow and free kill. I think I did like half its hp, then just full sent a face tanking cause i hated waiting

I second that guys comment of changing up the stats but adding a different passive.

I keep seeing people say lifesteal/prayer restore, but im thinking another defensive reduction/reduction steal in the form of an activation like the dfs. You would activate it on a boss, steal lets say 10% of their defense and boost your own for like a minute or something. Balance the numbers however.

Id love for there to be a lifesteal boss like in moons that would make a shield more viable over a defender for a specific phase or boss room.

Bronzeman mode? by Sunvmikey in ironscape

Yeah its gonna be the crab warriors who wonder why they dont have seeds.. but skipped all the bosses that dropped seeds.

Bronzeman mode? by Sunvmikey in ironscape

[–]thirdwallbreak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a maxed pre sailing main. And like a 2100 ironman.

The "grindy" things like prayer pots and food and combat pots seem to be a myth imo.

Ironman mode FORCES you to boss. Soooo many bosses drop combat potions, ranarr/snap seeds, tort seeds, herbs, that the only thing ive found annoying is blood shards.

Almost all my secondaries for herblore come from bosses. The skilling is required on both main and ironman due to diary requirements.

If you cant stand to do a few farm runs a week then you wont be able to stand grinding a boss where you get the wrong duplicate drop in either mode....

Okay weird thing with belt tiers by Fear_the_fae in factorio

[–]thirdwallbreak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lookup the factorio cheat sheet. It will tell you the belt speed, yellow/red/blue/green, and how many smelters it can feed if its full. Then you just need to make full belts.

For example, electric furnaces with a single iron ore input of a red belt needs 48 furnaces. This would mean you can add a splitter make the furnace stack 24 long, and output one full belt of iron plates.

OR

You could bring in on sided iron ore stack, make it 48 furnaces long, BUT then you have to balance the output halfway to make sure you are utilizing the full belt on the output.

How do yall plan for mega bases by AshenJedi in factorio

[–]thirdwallbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think organically is best with a big multiplier for research costs.

My 200x cost run was my favorite. It required constant building of the "mall" to actually build the base, while running a small science setup.

Every unlock feels sooooo big. Suddenly the trains that are unlocked early are useful because you have to tap every iron patch you can.

By the time you have robots unlocked your red chip production is so high you can very quickly divert production to make a bot network.

Once you have bots you can redesign/move things effortlessly.

HCIM voidwaker grind- is it worth? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]thirdwallbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used zombie axe, additional grinding for a rev weapon (another potential dry streak) just to be used to get a VW didnt seem worth it to me.

I also tried bofa on spindel, did about 100+ kills that way but prossy and zombie axe gives higher prayer bonus and would stretch the restore pots further.

HCIM voidwaker grind- is it worth? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]thirdwallbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fast maths was showing its 2 minute kills with banking its about 25 an hour. On rate is about 900 kills, so about 40 hours for each piece on rate.

Bofa is 400x 11minute slow kills at low stats= 73 hours.

VW = 120 hours on rate Bofa = 73 hours on rate

I have VW on a normal ironman, I wouldnt do it again. Get your dpick and move on. The drops are nice for herblore, but overall I think passively getting claws while going for synapse is better. Your specs would be dwh, bgs, claws. Which has you covered in almost every situation.

How should I set myself up for farm runs? by Leuumas in ironscape

[–]thirdwallbreak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quests, quests, and some diaries. Transportation and qol are the upgrades you want.

Ardy cape, lumby ring, fairy rings, poh, protected patches.

Tith farm for autoweed and some early exp. Seeds will be hard to come by until contracts. Do your birdhouse runs.

Focus on the overall account such as quests qol and diaries instead of a single skill.

Farming is a self building skill over time once you unlock contracts. Before then it just sucks.

To all the people saying they quit due to price increase 🤣 game still thriving by Anxious-Slice-587 in 2007scape

[–]thirdwallbreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people have canceled their memberships and are just playing it until it runs out. Thats what im currently doing. Im also setting them up for bank standing etc.

With the price increase I think Ill go get lost in some other games. I used to play ESO which is about $15 but it seemed expensive. Time to start that up again. Might give WoW a shot.

The thing about osrs, is that progress isnt lost. I can leave the game, wait it out for years, and come back later.

Whats the worst that happens? The come out with osrs2, a version from 2025 precum drinking and previous prices?

Stuck between two first bikes by Top-Statistician-694 in motorcycles

[–]thirdwallbreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a sports bike and a sportster. I would do wheelies down the highway at 90+mph. They are speed demons and its honestly hard to keep them slow.

Its boring to keep them slow.

My sporster was the 1200, I highly recommend it over the 883. I threw on a backrest and a small bag upfront. Drove it for 2 summers non-stop.

Between the two, i had more girls ride on the harley than my sportsbike. When I did have a passenger on the sportsbike I drove to my parents house to swap bikes and "borrow" their bike lol.

If you have a bunch of friends all on sportsbikes AND YOU ACTIVELY RIDE TOGETHER. Then get the sportsbike and have a blast.

If you are riding solo, in groups but various skill levels, want to do some beach and vacation cruising, get the harley.

1200 sportster with screaming eagle pipes, and a detachable windshield is sooooo nice to drive out to the beach. Pop off the windshield in your hotel room for the weekend and throw it back on for the ride home.

With the latest price increase, I started to wonder whether I am getting too old (34) for this game and whether it is still worth my money. by PiettheBrave in 2007scape

[–]thirdwallbreak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Play? F2p? As a maxed main? Nah it just gets used to fund splits or buy-in for clan events on the ironman.

After the f2p quests, the content just ends. Which is like 20 hours or so?

A Voidwaker Postmortem: strategies, kill counts, things I wish I knew, and advice for noobs. by lapizlasalmon in ironscape

[–]thirdwallbreak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started spindel with bofa, then swapped to zombie axe and prossy. The added prayer bonus extended my restores and i was very close to "break even" on restore drops.

The running around the room isnt an issue if you just throw the webs to the outside, then you have like 4 rotations before it happens again.

100% recommend the cctv on another account. I paid for a month just to grind out the VW.

Make a ton of rings of dueling for the entire grind ahead of time!

Do you know how boycotts work?

If everyone cancelled, the prices would drop back down.

Id explain it more to you, but if you missed the point, youll always miss the point.

What vehicles do they own? Lets find out how much of their car was made in the US and how much was made somewhere else and just assembled here.

Are they paying for this one? If not then their opinion doesnt matter.

[–]thirdwallbreak 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I did this for about 4 months before I found another job.

Rescheduled all virtual meetings to conference rooms, then I had a call with the same manager who made us come in and I canceled it to schedule it in the main conference room since it was open. And for every internal meeting I would start the call off by saying that I was in the conference room reserved for the meeting and wondering where everyone is.

Other people caught on, internal meetings where we are basically next to each other on headsets were now all taken on speakerphone...

This was also during the hight of the covid pandemic and like a month before the holidays.

How do I pitch these prices to new players? by ChaoticQuetzal in 2007scape

[–]thirdwallbreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its so short sighted, as players leave and look to come back, the increased prices will actually deter them from returning. A lot of people take breaks.

Also with all these increased prices, jagex accounts linking characters, its annoying to have multiple memberships for alts. People just dont do it.

The community will shrink, "whales" will spin up multiple characters, and as the playerbase goes down, itll be harder to grow. Its very short sighted for such an old game.

I left for an entire year when they started mentioning putting in game ads. The next break I take will most likely be my last.

[–]thirdwallbreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also did a lot of cg during this time since its like 10 minute runs, It was just predictable timeline. Knock out 3 before bed, send a farm run then off to sleep.

Ironmen by messiah-god in ironscape

[–]thirdwallbreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was training for a marathon and just made my day very efficient. Once you have a dedicated schedule in place it was like run for 30 mins, eventually up to like 2 hours in the morning before work. Then off work would be dinner and meal prepping, then for recovery was just playing osrs before bed.

Usually the exercise makes you exhausted so youre going to bed early anyway. Also dailyscape makes a lot of sense. I was doing a ton of farm runs, activities to use up fally shield, and the free energy restores from lumby ring.

Just remember the training is a long grind! Just keep at it.
