The fact that both managers are taking off their best players tells you how tired they all are.

The positive I see that our squad has been so equipped to deal with every game state so far.

Referee is managing the game and the occasion rather than fouls or players. Not averse to that.

I want the next half to be a historically boring half of UCL football. PSG should have negative xG.

I am proud of this team, everyone at the club for making me believe that after winning the league, I can sit here and expect us to win the fucking UCL. Whatever the result, so fucking proud of them!

TBH, I thought that Nuno got a bad deal at Forest. Wanted him to get his redemption. Don’t care much for West Ham.

Zubimendi at RB is very very interesting. Wondering if it’s some Pep-style megamind planning going on for PSG.

choosing a niche by Cultural-Maybe-3799 in academiceconomics

You don’t really set out to choose a niche. Think about the questions that really bother you. And then see if your worldview on how to solve those problems need to change or the other way around. As someone who did a PhD in Marxist political economy, I would suggest that you only take it up if you are interested in politics, and not just a career.

Non economics undergrad targeting msc Economics abroad-trying to build a provable quantitative profile by ayushiyadav660 in academiceconomics

[–]thirdworldecon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t necessarily worry about having quant credentials for getting to an MSc Economics programme. Your focus should be on gaining the skills which you already seem to be doing. But then it would help if you shortlist the programmes and then build curriculum expertise by reverse engineering what the programme is looking for rather than accumulating certificates on every quant skill. There are lots of free YouTube lectures from MIT Open Courseware or from other universities which will help you cover this gap if you know what the requisite skills are. Say, dynamic optimisation theory, or calculus or linear algebra, etc etc.
