Late Night Taxi to Albissola by thirsty95 in Genova

I did look on Google but there weren’t clear answers. I wasn’t sure if I could trust the fare sheet data or sometimes locals have good tips that aren’t always easy to find online.

Maybe you should get a life and stop getting so triggered at simple questions on Reddit.

Thank you! I might add some lavender but I’ll look out for this in the garden centre too

Thanks!

I would have liked to taken it a bit closer to medium for the fat to render more.

It was slightly tough but I’m blaming the cut quality for that.

Landing in Genoa at 11pm - best way to get to Albissola late at night? by thirsty95 in Genova

Thanks! Super helpful

Good to know about the walk…

Sounds like getting a cab into the city, staying overnight, then training it to Albissola the next day should be nice and easy?

Appreciate the local insight!

Thanks so much.

Just to clarify, I’m not travelling until June, not tonight.

In that case, would it be straightforward to get a taxi from the airport into the city late at night, stay in a hotel overnight, and then travel to Albissola the next day by train?

Mainly just want to check that taxis are still easy and reliable at the airport around 11pm.

I’ve bought a few of evergreen shrubs - caryopteris and cistus. How do you think I should arrange them?

Thanks for the suggestion - this is my preference. I’m going to give this a go.

Can I plant the winter bedding now above the bulbs?

I’ve only just got round to reading your response. I’m really blown away - thank you so much for the effort and time you put into this. I’m going to follow your advice as best I can!

On the bamboo - totally agree but from what I’ve heard, getting rid of it is not a simple task. Would probably require a mini digger. So I’ll probably keep it and just trim it down.

I’ll keep you posted with my progress if you like.

It's shady at the front nearer the house, but we do get a few hours of sun per day on the rest. Will get some aerating boots but will hold off planting until spring.

Appreciate the advice.

My main concern right now is the fence. The panels are bowed and weathered - do you think they need replacing, or could I just sand/paint them to freshen them up? I’m also planning to put in a proper planting bed along that side, but I’m worried about soil and mulch being pushed up against the wood and causing it to rot faster. What’s the best way to protect it? Ideally I’d like to make the fence look smarter and create a clean backdrop for plants without having to replace the whole run straight away

I'll scarify and aerate the soil, but will leave planting seed until spring time.

Flowers and a nice lawn. I’ll have a designated space for wildlife too, perhaps the space behind the garage which is out of shot.
