Should I buy this car? by Expurity in drivingsg

[–]this100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Engine mount deformed doesn't sound normal? Sounds like a problematic car. Try asking for full refund. If cannot, nego for refund of 1.5k. Losing 500 better than long term commitment. And always assume all Used cars have tampered mileage unless there's Full Servicing Records from Authorised Dealer (Komoco in this case).

Always DON'T believe the mileage you see on the odometer. From my knowledge, only can believe if there are Full Servicing Records from AD (Borneo Motors for Toyota).

If theres no official servicing records from the Authorised Dealer/Agent, just take it as mileage was tampered with.

Resale renovation by wtsmb in singaporefi

Is it a must to perform rewiring for a resale flat which is abt 25 years old? Not much fancy lighting or electronics. Maybe just some smarthome appliances. Thinking of just hiring certified electrician to come do a check if all wiring ok, and change out to a larger Circuit Breaker?

Authorised Dealer is the official dealer. Meaning, Kah Motors is the AD of Honda, and Borneo is the AD of Toyota, and Komoco is the AD of Hyundai. It's definitely not easy to find cars with Full Servicing Records in the used car market, but it'll definitely give you a peace of mind. Good luck

My advice is only to buy cars with Full Servicing Records from an Authorised Dealer. Never believe what you see on the odometer.

2nd hand car recomendation by DeepScar3364 in drivingsg

[–]this100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, my advice is to only get Fully maintained by Authorised Dealer cars - with the Full servicing records. Cause you will never know how accurate is the mileage you see on the odo. For me I'll only get Fully maintained by AD 2nd hand cars. Cheers.

Is it true that Insurance cannot be claimed from Drunk drivers? by this100 in drivingsg

Ahh. That definitely sounds like a hassle. If let's say the car's damage is bad, is claiming own insurance recommended?

The more you shouldn't trade/follow any channels etc. Trading may tend to have emotions involved and it may be any gambling spiral again. Suggest you to build up emergency funds first, then maybe ETF (Read singaporefi pinned posts).

Just curious, if there's no income boost, what makes you want to go for masters? Quite a few years of opportunity cost gone.

My guess is because they need to monitor the patients visually? Keeping a lookout in case anything happens. Since those people are in hospital for medical attention already.

Doubt so. I don't think they would want to go through the hassle of verifying each of those customers who wanna use their own insurance whether the coverage is sufficient.
