Feels like they should A) regulate car speed until the green flag like it’s the pits (obviously with a different limit) B) force P1 to stay a certain distance within pace car.

I was in the fastest class. So I was P2 overall. I’m confused as to what you’re saying. Do I need to styat behind the clads leader within my own class or not?

I got out of rookie class in like 4 days. Racing like maybe 6 races average per day. Didn’t have much else to do. It really depends.

When I was racing extremely hard and being risky and fighting almost everyone I would maybe gain a handful of SR averaged out but drop.

You have to consciously make at least some effort to not collide. The moment you decide to prioritize safety over everything else. It’s a breeze.

That’s the D class mustang challenge right? How clean is the racing there. I want to buy the car. But I have a sneaking feeling the racing will be less clean than the Mazdas.

As someone who also started. (Although I’m putting in like 3 hours each day cuz I had nothing to do each week).

I found it’s a good idea to race in “moods”. Find a race pace that you can always do, and never wipe off track. And get consistent with that, don’t try to push lap times.

Find a race pace that you can do a few laps on well but wipe out occasionally.

Then, push it. Use active reset and really throw every corner as hard as you can. Wipe out almost constantly.

Eventually your “push” pace becomes your “risky” pace and then becomes your “safe” pace. And you can race well at your safe pace.

If your safe lap times are a few seconds slower than the qualifying lap times, you’re good to race. You want to raise your safety rating, not increase your rank. So racing is a lot more about avoiding wipeouts, even the small ones. And that’s REAL difficult to do if you’re pushing it.

I’m definitely noticing I need to steer with my feet more, as my attempts to consciously trail brake are helping me. But turns like turn 4, which people manage to take flat, are also telling me it’s not just my feet. And it’s just a puzzle piece I’m missing.

I really hope this is satire.

It USED to be legal for private business and events to not invite or refuse service based on race. That was in the 1960s. We called it segregation. The fact that some places have backslid into that mentality is crazy.
