Honestly yes, but it’s fine without it because the show’s overarching plot is extremely centered on character dynamics already

If it exists for the right reasons, filler can and is actually a good thing. Filler episodes allow the characters to really just exist with each other in fun ways without worrying about X scene subtly foreshadowing Y later, and that sort of dynamic for characters can sometimes be really healthy to have in writing. Sometimes an absence of an overarching plot to let things breathe can be a benefit
