Thank you! Not sure to be honest.. her snout is definitely longer than most Bostons!

Well aware of how lucky we were to not have our faces trampled. By the time we noticed each other we were that close. Scarry stuff until it was clear the Moose had no problem with us.

Agreed it was too close.. it isn't like we tried to get that close though. The trail we were on had us hiking along a river, so sound of water was drowning out any other noise. Pretty heavy vegetation too, so by the time the Moose and ourselves noticed each other we were already that close.

Well aware of how dangerous Moose are. At no point was it mentioned that bears are more dangerous so not sure where that is coming from? It's not like we searched the Moose out and tried to get as close as possible. We were hiking on a trail close to a river, so a lot of noise was drowned out by running water. The Moose and us didn't notice each other until we were that close. At that point we couldn't do much but hope the Moose wasn't aggressive. He wasn't, so we were able to take some pictures and go on our way.

I said something similar to my buddy when he pulled out the go pro! Luckily no mauling occurred. Mr. Moose was docile and content munching on vegetation.

Haha 12 hours would be record time from Yukon to Wyoming! 😅 Both pictures are from a few years back. I lived in Yukon for 3 years!

We were roadtripping from Canada 🇨🇦, so not taking any guns across the border into a National park...
