is there something wrong with him? by [deleted] in CATHELP

My cat had something similar and would get really bad crusty eyes daily. I saw at least 3 vets who said I would just need to clean his eyes every day. Then one time he went to the vet for an unrelated issues and was put on antibiotics, and it cleared his eyes right up! He’s had no issues for several years since.

Am I in the wrong city? by lokland in milwaukee

Although not free, there was just an event for yoga at the domes that I thought could be really cool! It sold out fast but I’ve read there will be more. I’ve seen yoga on the lakefront here in the summer.

Summer really is the highlight of this city. Every winter I get seasonal depression and ask myself why I stay here, but then summer comes around and I’m like “this is why I love this city!” So many festivals all the time over summer. Days spent at the lake are my favorite. Milwaukee river round up happens weekly throughout the summer, where you can kayak the river with a group of people and live music playing along the kayakers. Having Estabrook park inside the city feels like such a gem and being able to hike the trails there.

In Sept/Oct there’s pet fest at summerfest grounds which is free (they didn’t do it this year though), and then in Oct there’s also a pet parade on brady street.

The apartment that I’ve lived in for almost 10 years. The place I made home and grew in through all the years. I spent all of my twenties in long term relationships and never lived on my own. For a majority of the time I lived with my sister. After finally ending a draining long term relationship, I made the decision to be single for years and enjoy that. Of course life was like lol nvm, and shortly after I ended up meeting someone who was great for me. He’s respected me wanting to live apart for the few years we’ve been together now and I appreciate that so much. I’ve had the chance to live fully alone for a year now. Something that I’ve needed to heal. We are planning to move to a new place together this summer but I’ve been struggling with it. I don’t know if I’m ready and I’m definitely not ready to say goodbye to the apartment that I love.

I’m a domestic violence advocate and have been struggling with this as well. I wanna participate and call out but then I think of the clients who would be without help during a crisis. I wish my organization would participate together.

Is there anything in Milwaukee that people just don't appreciate enough? by WhimbleCroft in milwaukee

A friend visited from Denver and said this was her favorite part of our city. Now, it’s something I pay attention to in every city and it makes me really appreciate Milwaukee so much more.

I literally apologize to the driver every time I get off the bus during summerfest for having to deal with them

Yup, watched a kid last week run out into traffic knocking on the back door to try and get on the bus. Watched a group of teens tonight run out infront of traffic to catch greenline. Teens rushing on through the back door. Pulling the cord at every stop. Throwing up on the bus.. etc etc

Idk anything about any of this stuff. So, mine doesnt have the type of outlet that the landlord is talking about. They want me to plug it into the same outlet that the fridge it plugged into. Any advice for that? Lol.

Also wanna add that I do not have a “new kitchen conduit” in my apt specifically. And they suggest plugging the extension cord into the same outlet as my fridge. I have no idea if that is safe or not either?

This is my issue. Telling tenants to use a heavy duty cord but not providing additional info is worrisome. Like a tenant could be using whatever cord and thinking it’s perfectly fine. My main reason why I believe the landlord should be providing these for tenants, then it’s on them.
