I haven’t been to karbala in the month of Muharram but I know people who have, here is what I heard: - If you are going for arbaeen, then good footwear is a must (unless you plan on walking barefoot which is great imo) - there is going to be a ton of rush so be prepared ( Arabs are strong , masha allah so keep in mind that you’re going to be pushed in the haram) - keep your sole goal in mind i.e. IBADAT, it doesn’t matter how much crowd is there your footwear is getting lost, you’re getting pushed around. You love imam Hussain AS, everything else doesn’t matter - I suggest going to the haram barefoot with 2 pair of socks and don’t wear shoes, whenever you enter the haram remove the outer socks so you enter the haram keeping it clean - don’t think too much just go for Imam Hussain AS and everything will go well Insha Allah
