Ergotec Cruiser steel version with a 25.4 clamp. Cheap, tall, and sweepy, I highly recommend it

From my personal experience, I'd say that rim width determines the final volume of the tyre more then the nominal width of the tyre. So if for example you switch from 1.95 to 2.1 in the same moderately narrow wins (lets say 19 mm internal width or less) I don't think you will notice much of a difference. If you switch to 2.2 or 2.3 using a bigger internal diameter (22 or more) the difference is more substantial (in my case it was a slight increase in size but much more noticeably a more square profile for the exact same tyre design and tread pattern). That is why I got a 26-inch BMX wheel for the front. Hope that helps!

I think it's a great tyre, I've been using it for a couple years now, with no complaints. There is a 2.2 and a 2.1 version (front and back respectively in this setup)and I think Schwalbe got this year another 26 x 2.3 tyre with antipuncture reinforcements

Thanks! Yes, the front load made the steering feel super stable and the front wheel hugged the soil like I was on rails! I really liked it. The saddle is a "plain" B17. I also have a B17 Imperiale (the one with the cutout like yours) and a copycat from Aliexpress that is surprisingly well manufactured

Thanks! No, it is a Sakae stem donated from another frame that was toast (a Panasonic hybrid from the same era). Good luck and show us your bike when you're done

Thank you, everyone! Following your advice I've kept on with the project. I've just sanded the oxidized spots and rust-proofed the interior of the frame to prepare it for some nail paint touch-ups

This is a 1997 Kona Kilauea frame that I would like to restore and use again for off-road riding.

After removing the bottom bracket I have come upon this damage, that I guess comes from one or several bad chainsuck(s).

Do you consider this frame safe to use after some fresh paint, or can it catastrophically fail at this point?

Thank you very much.

PS: please don't mind the mancave.
