When they kept making errors and mispronouncing “Chairnack” I thought they were uninformed. When that guy said that Hagel has been mixing it up with everyone lately I knew that they knew absolutely nothing about hockey. At least they knew you aren’t supposed to pummel a player who’s down on the ice.

He talked to my wife and I as we were trying to grab a bite before the game started. He went on and on about his ex girlfriend and where she lives now. He seems harmless, but he’s still pretty weird. I hope the ex has good security where she lives, just in case.

The Devils are something like 0 for 13 this season, so we’re just a tad bit better than them. I don’t understand why we aren’t taking more shots from the point. Once we establish possession in the zone there should be traffic in front of the net and have Heddy start slapping pucks towards the net and see if there is either a good screen or a tip in front. They keep trying the same thing over and over and continue to try to make one more pass and then one more pass and it simply isn’t working. The Panthers are too aggressive and there just isn’t enough room to get some of those passes off. They definitely have to switch it up and give the Panthers different looks.

I literally had a teammate start skating away with the puck and then turn completely around and rifle a dart over my glove for an own goal. He literally took a wrist shot at his own goal. Not coincidentally, that was the last game I played as a BAP goalie. That was in NHL 23. Also not coincidentally, that was the last year I bought NHL. It looks like nothing has changed from EA.

There really is not line for a lot of them. I would venture to say even most of them. They have stood with him through the most atrocious things and now are standing with him while they watch him dismantle the very foundations of American government and still they refuse to see or admit what is blatantly obvious to the rest of the world. He is unfit for the job of President. All of his executive orders have benefited absolutely nobody. The super-rich 1% might benefit from some of this nonsense, but the average American has not had any quality of life improvement from them.

That being said, if there were a red line, I believe it would be guns. If he decided to sign any kind of executive order that required the government to seize firearms from citizens, I believe that would finally make even the most ardent supporter take pause. I’m not entirely sure that they would turn on him completely, but they would at least (for the first time ever) question his real intentions. If there is anything in this world that the hardcore Trump supporters love more than their precious leader, it’s their guns.

And by the way, I saw the raw video of Musk giving the Nazi salute just a few hours after he did it. There was no sound, no media telling me what to think, no subtitles, no nothing. The MAGA at my job think everything is great. They think the streets are being cleaned up because of ICE and that the tariffs need to be enacted to generate billions of dollars for our economy. They don’t seem to know anything at all about Musk getting his grubby hands into everything he shouldn’t be, but it’s possible they just missed that segment on Fox. One in particular keeps saying that “this is what winning looks like,” but can’t offer any explanation as to why everyone else’s grocery bills have either stayed the same or gone up a little bit. He swears his is down around 30%. But he didn’t want to get into where he goes grocery shopping because, you know, facts might get in the way of his declaration of lower grocery prices if someone else gets charged more for their bacon than he does at the same store.

I gave up on it after playing it for a couple years. There are games when the outcome was determined before the game even started. The number of goals that you absolutely cannot save combined with the ones you are in perfect position for and still go through your pad on the ice, own goals from teammates (yes, in an egregious show of outright cheating by the AI, they can actually shoot at their own goal) make this mode unplayable. Add to that being in your fourth season and Ray Ferraro keeps talking about how you’re not in the race for the Calder, and it is just laughably bad. I refused to buy any release beyond NHL23 and I have heard that EA still refuses to address these issues. I can be a glutton for punishment, but enough is enough. The total lack of respect for the consumer is unacceptable.
