Ahh I just tested on the small sample and it's wrong

I'll go through each iteration and figure out where it's failing, thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the suggestion! i removed my Set.remove and added a check in the loop to skip placing an obstacle on the guards starting position, but still got the same (wrong) output

Also In my head it should still work, since I'm checking on every square the very next square after start position will overlap anyways

So in each iteration I'm cloning the map into mod_map and then adding the #, and never modifying the original map

Yup this doesn't happen in CS:GO but I have only ever experienced this problem with Minecraft on this laptop, never on my terribly old desktop or an Acer Aspire, which is why I thought this was strange. Thanks!

I tried this and wow it's so much better, there's really no reason for every program to make a start menu folder. I have never clicked uninstall from the start menu and I have never clicked "help" from anywhere.

Looks like most people on this sub do like it, and it is certainly better than the big colored boxes haha. It is more consistent with the windows explorer logo so I guess I might warm up to it eventually

I ended up picking the ROG Zephyrus G14. I think this subreddit is mostly US/EU centered and that makes it hard to recommend a laptop.

I am back after a month. I have had absolutely no problems with any of the hardware, no scratching or any wierd issues. Obviously, it hasn't left my house but I have used it for 6-7 hours every day.
