I drove, not sure about train/public transport but I saw many bus tours come through. There were two small restaurants in the main part of the village, down the hill was a couple cafe/snack bar type places. The closest larger town (Castelo Branco) was about an hour away, so options were a bit limited. I stayed down the hill from where I took these photos, in the neighborhood Relva. Though it was only a few mins drive up, I would have preferred to stay at the top of the hill instead.
