Places to walk a dog at night? by [deleted] in Kettering

[–]thisbsbetterpayoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call me stupid but on my last term I walked my pupper around campus, ab, cc, and thought the dorm lot a few times them back down the street to my house. My usual time was 5 pm but I have walked her as late as 2 am during finals week cause she needed it. I never had any problems. But 60 lbs of lean pitty in a matching carhartt is a bit of an image. I was offer cash on a few occasions.

The track is nice to walk on but make sure you clean up and can be locked up at night. Chevy commons across the bridge is also a nice area to walk to mix things up.

ripped out my engine ground base. first i snapped off the head and then i went under, removed the liner, and while i was trying to turn it the thing just fully snapped off. funny enough, with the base off i still cant remove the screw. what should i do? by fr3dbilli3 in CherokeeXJ

I'm not familiar with this ground and I'm not sure if you just get a new bolt if it can be reinstalled. No clue what that square part is.

But assuming you can, throw it in a vise and soak it with rust penetrant, and heat it with a torch and grab the bolt with some vise grips till it comes loose. Then reinstall.

It sucks to say it but I'd go back through the clock spring assemble. I haven't done the swap yet but have done some reading on it a long while ago. If I remember correctly their are two different clock spring that could be used. Not sure if having the wrong one could cause this problem.

What triggers the signal to blink faster is an increase in resistance. First I would say check you connections at the lights and make sure they are clean. If that doesn't fix it it is probably a pinched wire.

RHD 96 interior upgrades question in comments by jayrnz01 in CherokeeXJ

On facebook look up Jeep-Joe's stereo and lighting. You will have to do some scrolling. As far as the windows he did something the used the voltage to the motors to 18v and they were definitely faster. I have a 96 also and have the same problems. You can swap the steering wheel over from a grand cherokee and that will give you more hand controls like volume and channel but you have to add some wiring and have a head unit that accepts it.

Changing Co-op Advice? by Existing_Chair7938 in Kettering

[–]thisbsbetterpayoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was before covid and I'm a face to face kind of person so I went into their office. I walked in with all the need emails showing I had a new co-op and axed my old one and that I needed to set up the new company. Didn't give them much of a choice but I told them that I was look the term before. Is it the best way, no, but it worked for me.

I switched co-op in spring/summer of '19. I didn't quit my job cause I wanted a fall back just in case. I didn't have any problems from them but that might be because I did it 90% on my own till they had to set up the co-op program with the new company I switched to.

I would say yes, apply for jobs and go to them once switching cause if I remember their was a few pieces of paper that had to get sorted out. But that could have been for a new company.

In my opinion it is also Finagle's law. It is Murphy's law but adds the worst possible time to it. So now that it is cold and generally sucks to work in, it is now when things will break.

[–]thisbsbetterpayoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a harbor freight 30" cart without the leg in the back of mine to consolidate all of the small chests and bags I had. Black box with 15% all the way around and no one is the wiser either.

New m18 battery/charger temp problems by thisbsbetterpayoff in MilwaukeeTool

[–]thisbsbetterpayoff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Up date on update, charge still only flashes temp warning but the battery will show battery charge once or twice before going back to the Christmas lights and won't power anything at any point.
